For the AM5 platform, AMD is taking matters into their own hands to make USB BIOS Flashback a universal feature. Ryzen 7000 chips will be able to support USB BIOS Flashback mode across the board and regardless of the BIOS currently installed. As a result, users will always be able to flash an updated BIOS to their AM5 boards, regardless of the CPUs supported by or the operational status of the current motherboard.

5/15 Edit: Looks like a wait longer angle. Current BIOS is not limiting according to hwbusters. Will continue to provide updates. Also to note: TESTING A BETA BIOS WILL NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY. Unless you break your board over your knee (this is an exaggeration please don't do this pins are sharp) using a BETA Bios will NOT void your warranty.

5/16 Edit: F5d fixes the audio issue for AORUS B650i Ultra. Have 1 report saying it's stable under 1.3v (may or may not update the count for every user I find)

5/16 Edit: I'm being told that the most recent BIOS (should be the same beta one with AGESA 1.0.0.6) properly limits the voltage under 1.3v. To test this, using HWInfo, you can check the CPU VDDCR_SOC Voltage (SVI3 TFN) voltage and if it ever goes above 1.3 send me a link to an image or some video proof so I can send it up the chain and report accordingly!

5/17 Edit: Some BIOSes have been pulled and I have already sent like 20 screenshots of users asking where'd they go to my HQ contact so please stay tuned. u/duke605 was kind enough to compile a short list of those affected:

Removed BIOSes:

• B650 Aorus Pro AX = F5d

• x670E Aorus Master = F10d

• B650E Aorus Master = Unknown BIOS version

• B650M Aorus Pro AX = idk where'd it go

If there are any updates to this let me know and I'll add them accordingly (hopefully they put them back up or I get a message clarifying why they were pulled)

To clarify, I have 0 knowledge of when BIOS will be released or when they get pulled I find out the same time y'all do so please bear with me and appreciate the continued support.

5/18 Edit: A new non-Beta BIOS has been released for all AM5 mobo models while I was sleeping!

So if you've seen it awesome time to update! If not then hey here's your announcement. It is still AGESA 1.0.0.6 and I have no info on whether there will be an update or new BIOS containing AGESA 1.0.0.7a so if you ask me I will respond with a sad face!

5/22 Edit: Hey y'all. There is a new BETA BIOS for those interested in 1.0.0.7a.

I know a lot of people have been asking about this but do keep in mind this is a BETA BIOS. If you're worried, stay on the standard 1.0.0.6 version but do remember that if you do download the BETA BIOS your warranty IS NOT VOID.

So feel free to try out the AGESA version and definitely let me know if you find anything interesting! (Preferably good interesting and not bad interesting)

I am using the gigabyte b650 aorus elite ax with a 7700x

Hi everyone,

All my new parts just arrived and i need some help with the processing of switching everything. I have a new board, cpu and ram.

I heard from some that I wil need to bios update my new board so that it runs the 7800x3d I bought properly… if anyone could describe how to do that safely that would be amazing. Do I do that before I drop my new CPU in?

Apart from that I basically know what I’m doing… any other tips would be great.

I bought an MSI PRO B650M-b (without a flashback button) to build with a Ryzen 9 6000X. In my innocence, I thought it would be plug and play, but it seems I need to update the BIOS... Do you know any store/person in the south bank of Lisbon that does this service?

The CPU hasn't arrived yet, but I'm almost sure I need to update the BIOS, from what I've seen online.

UPDATE: It already came with the updated BIOS and recognized the CPU immediately

ASUS ROG STRIX B650A GAMING WIFI - I've tried updating the bios with different USB drives, all in the correct USB BIOS slot on the motherboard, and it doesn't work.

1. Using EZFLASH Utility 3, I will put the correctly named CAP file in the root, and select it.

2. Once started/bios file read, the PC shows 'Processing' on the loading bar, then INSTANTLY restarts into a black screen, and gets permanently stuck. It doesn't POST or boot back into bios, it's just stuck on a black screen, with all fans max RPM.

3. I have left it on this black screen for 30 mins to no avail on multiple occasions.

Watching many tutorials, the loading bar goes past processing, all the way until completion. However, mine doesn't.

Please help if you've encountered the same on ASUS/AM5 boards :)

Hi, I’m on a 7700x and a B650 Aorus Elite AX motherboard. I’ve been running the October BIOS which is F3b. Had to update because on the first bios it wasn’t letting me run my ram on EXPO, so now I was good and was able to use EXPO and do some PBO settings on my 7700x

A new bios comes out named F3h and I updated to it. My pc would get stuck at booting so I had to force shut down. Then it would not even get to windows. I accessed bios and after loading optimized settings it would get stuck booting again. Pretty much restarting isn’t an option as it will get stuck, I have to force shut down and also I’m lucky to be able to get to windows. I had to reflash F3b and once again I was fine.

Then F3 comes out which is out of beta, so I download it and again the same issues… do I need to do an extra step when updating the bios? Why are any versions above F3b giving me issues? Flashing back to F3b literally has everything working fine, but any update newer than that. If anyone has any experience with gigabyte mobos or just bios updates in general I’d really appreciate it. I am now back to F3b for now...

If this issue keeps happening I’d have to switch motherboards to use the new 3D chips and I really don’t wanna do that.

EDIT: Some others seem to have problems too, others don’t. Someone tried different RAM and that fixed all issues for them. My RAM shows 100% compatibility with my mobo, I still may try new ram and look into updating again though.
