Stokke crib sheet question

We have a hand-me-down Stokke Sleepi and bought some very cheap generic crib sheets on Amazon with the intent of cutting them into the oval shape, BUT we totally didn’t need to—they fit just fine. I find that the mattress is thick enough that the extra fabric from the sheet corners is on the side of the mattress and not the sleeping surface. The mattress fits tightly in the crib so there’s not really any way for that extra fabric to interfere with sleep. Let me know if that makes sense!

Note: we did buy some waterproof crib mattress protector layers and cut them down to the oval shape. This sits flat on the mattress under our fitted sheet. I figured that tucking the corners of the waterproof layer would be too bulky.
