r/ipadmini on Reddit: Apple Pencil USB-C or 2nd Gen?
June 19, 2024 -

USB-C costs around 82usd (when converted here in my country) while 2nd Gen is around 148usd. I don't see myself ever doing arts. Gonna use this more on note taking and playing casual games. I also heard that regardless, you can't use them while charging so in terms of hassles, it's just that there's an extra step of plugging to charge.

Should I get USB-C instead or there's more benefits of getting 2nd gen aside from wireless charging and art related stuff? Or should I just get a non-apple pencil?

Apple Pencil 1 vs 2 vs USB-C – Which One Should You Buy?
July 4, 2024 - If you're planning to use the Apple Pencil primarily for writing – say for university or work – then the 1st gen Apple Pencil is still a fantastic and more cost-effective option. It delivers where it counts and won't disappoint. However, if you're an artist, the scenario changes. The pressure sensitivity becomes a crucial tool for your creative process. In this case, opting for the 2nd gen or USB-C Apple Pencil would be a wise decision.
