Depending on what she does for work outs she may want different features in the 10 that the SE doesn’t have. I got the SE for its size and because I don’t need to track water depth or intense hiking. I also don’t need to track my temperature, although it would be cool. It has some nice safety features like the crash detection. It’s a good affordable option. Hi,
I would like to buy an Apple watch for my wife. She doesn’t use watches or wristbands normally. She uses her iPhone regularly but not so much since having 2 kids. She also exercises a lot. So I thought that a light, small and practical watch would be the way to go, which seems like the SE 2. But I found out that it’s actually a few years old, and lacking some other functions that I don’t really understand (I never had a watch either). So in this context, is SE a good option for my wife, or shall I go with 10? Thanks!

I've been using the SE 2 for a few years now. None of the features of the mainline models really interest me, and honestly I have no complaints about my watch. I use it mainly for running/fitness. It was a great purchase!

To all SE Users i am Kind of new to the Apple Watch And i wanted to buy one for Christmas. Now I am sceptical of the battery life and how long it needs to charge I was and it’s missing features in comparison to the newer watches, now I was thinking about buying an Apple Watch Series 8 because it is in kind of the same price category and has more features but I am not able to find one that guarantees that it is waterproof because most refurbished websites don’t offer a guaranteed waterproof watch. No, I am wondering if some of you guys could just share me your information of how you like your Apple Watch SE and how it impacted your life and maybe know where to get a series 8 :D thanks!

I got SE in early 2021 bc I wasn’t sure if I would really like AW and I didn’t want to spend a lot. It has been good. I like it. My son stepped on it and it has a crack but I wore it in the water all summer and it’s still fine. The battery was a problem for a week when 10.0 came out but the update fixed that. The charge time isn’t an issue for me bc I either charge while sleeping or driving. Typically after wearing it all day it still has 50% battery remaining. I’m going to pass the SE to my son and upgrade to U2 now. I recommend SE for a first AW if budget is a concern. It does all of the major things you need but not everything.

I bought my SE 2nd gen a few weeks ago and I love it! It has everything I need. I charge it once a day. I have no complaints about battery life.

Mine is like a year old and is scratched to hell. I don’t mind. Means I wear and use that shit. As long as I can read my info and the screen isn’t shattered. I’m golden. Also, I can’t afford an ultra or ten right now if I wanted one.

My Apple Watch SE 2 is 2 years old and is currently at 90% battery health. It serves my purpose perfectly and battery life is still good enough for me. So I don’t see myself upgrading to a newer model anytime soon unless Apple stops supporting with watchOS updates. For me having the current software is big deal. So how long do you think it’ll be supported? as the S6 - S8 and SE 2 all have basically the same chip.

Usually four years for new OS versions (the Series 6 was released in 2020 and this is likely its final year), but of course the watch will work just fine for years after that. Practically the last few OS updates haven’t really changed the functionality dramatically. It’s just a watch, after all
