I have a prebuilt ASUS desktop with a 5800X, 3070, and a G15DK motherboard. The rig runs hot as hell, even with the noctua heat sink + intake fan I added so I tried to undervolt it in the BIOS but there’s no curve optimizer prompt.

I go to Advanced —> AMD overclocking—-> accept ——Percision Boost Overdrive—-> advanced.

There is no Curve optimizer option listed.

I just want my rig to run cooler. It runs 74ish average doing the FFXIV endwalker benchmark at 1440p and spiked up to 87 at the end and it’s terrifying. I’d gladly sacrifice some performance for stable 70c temps.

Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

Since the 5800X3D does not boost so high i saw many people run a -30 Curve optimizer all core without issues. Currently testing it is looking good so far.

Anyone using 5800X3D with curve optimizer can confirm -30 running stable?

With -30, it passes occt without errors but I get stutters in games although all cores work 4450 mhz. So I'm running -25, the results are even better than stock

My 5800x3d easily takes -30 on all cores using PBO2 tuner. I hope asus releases a bios update for the b450i, too.
