I have a prebuilt ASUS desktop with a 5800X, 3070, and a G15DK motherboard. The rig runs hot as hell, even with the noctua heat sink + intake fan I added so I tried to undervolt it in the BIOS but there’s no curve optimizer prompt.
I go to Advanced —> AMD overclocking—-> accept ——Percision Boost Overdrive—-> advanced.
There is no Curve optimizer option listed.
I just want my rig to run cooler. It runs 74ish average doing the FFXIV endwalker benchmark at 1440p and spiked up to 87 at the end and it’s terrifying. I’d gladly sacrifice some performance for stable 70c temps.
Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

The Asus Crosshair line got the new Bios Update and AGESA version Combo V2PI 1208 enabling Core optimizer by default. Rejoice!
Since the 5800X3D does not boost so high i saw many people run a -30 Curve optimizer all core without issues. Currently testing it is looking good so far.
Anyone using 5800X3D with curve optimizer can confirm -30 running stable?
My woes with this motherboard has not been resolved. still cant run anything faster than 3200mhz/cl18-20-20-20-38 (X570 I-Gaming)
