Do I need to update the latest bios for ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi)?

I just bought an AMD Ryzen 7 5800x yesterday. I'm planning to buy an ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) I wonder if this CPU + MOBO will work before Updating the bios from ASUS Website. BTW I don't have a Zen 2 CPU. More on forums.tomshardware.com

ASUS X570 final Agesa 1.2.0.7 UEFI BIOS

Its the exact same bios that they release as BETA, the infamous 1.42v VID issue when EDC exceeds 140A bug still exists. Bios is from Late April 2022, so NOTHING, not even a patch in those files.. its recommended to update an entirely fresh mobo out the box, it's been sitting on a shelf for months so the BIOS is at least going to be that old.

BIOS updates are not complex, they just have an inherent risk factor if you lose power to your PC during the process, something that shouldn't happen unless you get power outages frequently

I’ve looked up videos but none seem to help me out. When i download the file off the Asus support page for the motherboard there is a file called “BIOs Renamer” or something like that. No video seems to tell me what to do with it, maybe I’m just looking in the wrong place. Someone please help.

Also I’m updating my BIOs because I cant play games that use Easy Anti-Cheat, because they crash my PC. I was told it was due to and outdated BIOs but if someone has a different fix please tell me. Thank you in advance :)

Edit: I’ve updated my BIOs and I can now run games that use Easy Anti-Cheat!

I believe you just double click on the bios renamer and it will rename it for you. Also OP, i had the same problem with easy anticheat crashing my PC and updating my BIOS fixed it.

Also for asus, choose the biosname.cap that came from the web itself (without renaming) if you're not using bios flashback
