EC2 instances are paid by the amount of time they are turned on. 1-hour cost $0.044, 1-month is aprox $32. Theen, you have all the other small charges, like data transfered from your instance to the outside, public IPs in use, etc, and some others not so small, like if you deployed a Load Balancer in front of your instance, that's hourly cost as well. Compute hours are charged for the time the instance is running, not when your application is being used. Storage is charged all the time it is allocated, even if the instance it is attached to is stopped. You get 30gb of EBS general SSD storage. I feel like a broken record on these posts for non-business use, but try AWS Lightsail. EC2 bandwidth is very expensive and Lightsail plans come with literally hundreds of dollars of bandwidth included.
