My in-car Qi charger is very very slow so I will happily use this. But I get it isn’t for everyone. Ah, but it’s not twice the speed. As the review showed, the power input was 14W. Then take say 20% efficiency and you’re down to 11W. When the iPhone gets hot, you’d be back to the 7.5W you get with a cheap MagSafe style knockoff charger. Hardly work the money. ... I like Belkin products, but have been having outstanding experience with official Apple magsafe charger and a clip that goes into my cd player.

It looks like the Belkin charges at 10W, while all the others are 7.5W. I'm new to the Magsafe game so I just want to make sure I'm not missing any other options that charge at higher than 7.5W.
Edit: I should add that I'm totally fine with a vent mount, and would actually l prefer it. They work perfectly in my car.

It only charges at 7.5W as well. MagSafe branding is frankly super consumer hostile, and makes it seem like something can do what it can not. The only way to get faster MagSafe charge speeds is to supply your own MagSafe charger with a car mount adapter. Hopefully that will change soon however, as Apple finally started selling the part to manufacturers. Edit: lol was waiting for the downvotes. MagSafe is great folks! But Apple still shouldn’t let companies use the word “MagSafe” at all unless it is fully compatible with spec. You and I might know the difference, but lord knows the average shopper doesn’t. December 17, 2020 - The mount may be "lightweight" but it protrudes so far out from the mount point on my car's vent that with my iPhone Pro attached it's enough to make my vents swing in whichever direction I turn the car (and thus the phone flying). This is a terrible product. ... Just seems pretty redundant without charging capabilities. The point of a magsafe mount is surely to provide ease of attachment without unnecessary fiddling. It defeats the point if I have to attach and remove a cable each and every time I want to move the phone. I would rather Belkin had focused their efforts on releasing their 3-in-1 MagSafe charger before Christmas.

I saw that there are two versions of this charger: a stand version and a pad version were the devices lie flat. The first version seems to be more commonly/easily available. However, I am afraid that if the magnetic field fails the device could fall (and potentially crash). For example, what if the device starts vibrating due to receiving a call? could this make it fall? So I see the flat (pad) version as safer, but I have more difficulties to find it and I saw some offers for the stand version.
Any experience with the stand version and/or the pad version? Any tip would be great!

The magnets are strong enough that your phone doesn’t fall off with vibrations from a phone call. And MagSafe is made from permanent magnets. It doesn’t suddenly “de-magnetize” from normal use. The main benefit of the stand one is that your phone will work with standby mode whereas the lie flat one won’t; also also taking less desktop space. Although, the flat one is technically more portable, it’s not ideal considering there are far more portable options like the Anker 3in1 Cube.

When I was shopping for the 3-in-1 charger, Belkin only have the slow Apple Watch charger in the stand version, so I got the pad one. I also thought I may take it to road trips since it's technically portable (at least more portable than the stand version). But now Belkin makes a newer stand version that supports Apple Watch fast charging, I probably prefer the stand version more because of the new ios 17 nightstand mode.
