I'm switching over from Apple Magic Keyboard (been using for the last 5 years) and looking for a 75% prebuilt keyboard. I'm willing to spend $300-400. I work on macOS and Linux exclusively and will mostly use it for work with occasional gaming. I'd like to have RGB backlight option. Any recommendations?
Few options I've seen so far:
Keychron Q1 Max QMK/VIA Wireless - Seems to be the closest one that fits my needs
Mode Sonnet - I really like this one but it doesn't have RGB
Hope75 - Looks nice but only has RGB strip
Basically, I want a 75% keyboard that's wireless, hotswappable, and has some kind of control over volume (ex. knob) all under $250. I'm leaning towards the ROG Azoth, but it's my max budget. The Corsair K65 Plus looks cool, too.
Hello guys im looking for a good budget keyboard around 50€ and availability in europe. Just for casual usecase like gaming or research stuff.
Do you have any recommendation?
Drop any and every 75% keeb you know and why you love it. Whether that may be below $100, around $250, or over $500, I don't mind. I also don't care if it is barebones or comes fully built. I can also mod, so if it needs tweaks, just mention it. Don't think about switches, that's another can of worms to talk about, unless you have one that you really take pride in to share. It would be nice though if it had a knob or whatever extra I could use to personalize my experience with it. It needs to have the function row and can be wired and wireless, that's non-negotiable for me.
For the last 6 months, I have been meaning to upgrade my basic ass Royal Kludge that I have modded as much as I can to get it to be the best that I can have it. And I am actually really happy with it. Though I am still itching to get something better. More premium feeling. Smoother. Generally better quality and maybe even good resale value.
I want to know what's in the market right now and what might come out within the next couple of months.
So I recently got a Varmilo VXT81 that I waited 4 months to get from MK, only to find that the USB-C port is loose enough that it causes the keyboard to disconnect intermittently if I move it too much. I plan on returning it to MK and getting my money back
It soured me on the brand, but I'm still set on a 75% keyboard with a similar layout (function keys spaced above, etc) and I prefer linear switches like Cherry Reds. My budget is $300, which includes the keyboard/PCB/switches/keys/etc. I'd prefer a prebuilt board but open to building one if it provides some kind of tangible benefit. There's just so many brands out there right now that appear good that in actuality, aren't
I just built my pc and want a 75% keyboard that isn’t too expensive and sounds good. Any suggestions?
Been into this hobby for only more than a year, and I noticed there had been only a few 75% projects. I think not a lot of people like 75% either, but for me, it is one of my favorite sizes next to TKL and 65%. Full size is also good, but I prefer it when doing work-related tasks instead of everyday use. That being said, to those who have been in the hobby for a while now, and also likes 75%, what is your top 3 75% keyboard of all time? Right now, here is mine:
Mode Sonnet - I really like the design of the board, and the accent on top makes it unique for me.
Monokei x TGR Tomo - Also a great board. I feel that it is light compared to other boards I have, but the sound still is good for me.
TKD Pt.1/75 - This is the most simple-looking among the list, but I feel like this is the overall best I have right now for 75%. The build and sound quality are great, and it’s a heavy board. But I really like how it sounds.
Budget: ~€150 EUR
Size: 75%
Other: Wireless (Bluetooth/2.4 GHz), prebuilt preferred, ISO-DE layout, quiet tactile or linear switches
Problem:
Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for a wireless 75% mechanical keyboard for office use. I love tactile feedback, but it can’t be too loud, I don’t want to annoy colleagues. If you say linear are way better for that use I would also consider linear switches.
I’m new to the mech keyboard world, but I want something I’ll still enjoy typing on for years. Right now I’m using a Royal Kludge RK84 with blue switches that we had lying around in the office. I like the feel, but it’s too loud and has an ANSI layout, so I constantly have to search for keys. ISO-DE would be a huge plus.
I’ve browsed prebuilt options but haven’t found a 75% wireless board where I was 100% satisfied or a lot of people had bad experiences with it.
Preferences:
Wireless (Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz)
ISO-DE layout
Prebuilt preferred (DIY optional)
Clean-looking, material/color doesn’t matter too much, some color would e appreciated
Quiet tactile preferred, silent linear okay too
If you’ve got recommendations or personal experiences, links are super appreciated!
- Edit: Also what do you think of brands like EPOMAKER or Royal Kludge?
I'm relatively new to mechanical keyboards and after seeing so many videos and articles, I was feeling overwhelmed and would appreciate if someone could help me choose a keyboard! This is a list of things that I think would appreciate on the keyboard
75% keyboard
feel and sound of keyboard matters to me, I like thocky keyboards or ones that are on the quieter side. even if they are thocky, I don't want them to be too loud.
I like smooth feels and clean designs.
I would like it to be customizable (that doesn't require soldering) but also good quality enough without modding required. As of right now, I don't think I'm confident or into mechanical keyboards enough to go frankenstein or just mod it too much so I would appreciate if it's good enough quality before modding. But I definitely want to be able to in the future if I wanted so I would like customization to be an option.
I don't really care about RGB but some kind of backlight would be nice.
I also like wireless keyboards but wireless/wire/no wire offered etc. don't really matter too much.
For a budget, I'm looking on a more budget friendly side but I'm thinking 100~150 I would be okay with.
I know this is a lot but I was struggling finding one on my own so I would really appreciate the help. Thank you!
I’m looking for a 75% keyboard and im willing to pay between $300-$400. I dont mind buying a barebones or prebuilt but Im looking for this best you can buy at that price point. Both the Qk75 and Zoom 75 caught my eye but theyre both out of stock. Id be using the keyboard mainly for gaming.
Hi Reddit friends, I'm somewhat new to forums... I came to this platform to ask for help. I'm looking for a 75% keyboard for competitive gaming... what I'm looking for is excellent latency. Price doesn't matter. I hope you can help me with your recommendations!
I want to add something to this post. On the keyboard I'm currently using (HyperX Alloy Origins Core), when I press the space bar (on the edge of the keyboard), sometimes the key doesn't activate; the key doesn't stay in place. That said, in addition to a low-latency keyboard, I'm looking for a keyboard that doesn't have these types of issues!
Hello everyone,
iam looking for a new Gaming Keyboard. I have a few criteria which the keyboard should have:
-
75% Layout: I still want to have a small numpad but want to get rid of the Page Up, Page Down... keys
-
White colour with some color on the keys like this one:
-
It should have a wrist rest
-
Optional is a Media Control Wheel/Buttons
Maybe you know some good keyboards which I'll like.
Thank you!
Looking for recommendations on a new keyboard, currently using a Corsair k70 full size, I want to go wireless as the cables on the K70 are huge and I want to tidy the look.
I’m after 75%, it’s only use will be for gaming, I’ve looked at Steelseries, Nuphy, Ducky & Epomaker, has anyone got any personal recommendations of ones they’ve got / used?
Hello,
Looking to replace my Anne pro 2 with something wireless and low latency. Don’t care for fancy features like a lil bb screen or rgb. A thinner or more ergonomic design is a huge bonus. Would like it to sound decent but not that picky. Budget is around 200$ ish.
Will wooting have a 75% soon? Logitech 75% seems to cheap. Asus azroth seems solid but the screen and modding stuff is a little excessive for me. Anyone have any recs?
Won’t go larger than 75%.
Thanks so much for your time and knowledge:))
Hi, I'm trying to decide between the Ajazz AK820 Pro and the Aula F75.
Also, any other recommendations for a 75% keyboard in a similar price range?
So i’m looking for an endgame 75% keyboard and i’m not sure if i should wait or buy something now.
I’m currently looking at the kbdfans odin75 kit which i really like but i’m not sure if there are better options.
I’m really only willing to spend around 300usd or 450cad if anyone has any recommendations lmk.

New to this so I am planning to mod down the line, but would like it to be decent out of box for now
