I've been using gemini 2.5 mainly (apart from when it gets stuck and I have to phone a friend) and I find it great at ciding, but when it comes to look and feel/css it's awful, it often has no idea what it's done or I can ask it specifically to fix a size issue with font or padding and it's all over the place. It makes very ugly looking bare pages and even when I ask it to brighten it up its often nasty.
I'm just wasting credits trying to get Gemini to do it.
Has anyone got good things in this area from any of the other Ai's?

What's your go to css setup? vanilla, tailwind, bootstrap or something else?
Please suggest some good AI service for creating websites - for example, promotional landings for Mobile applications. I just need to choose some template , upload photos/screenshots and ask AI to generate some texts.
And Important thing is to have ability to save everything in HTML/CSS as I have own servers to publish it there.
I kinda experienced web/mobile developer, and I could do such websites from scratch - but I feel that there should an easier way, I just don't want to spend my time for such boring stuff.
Thanks
Is there an AI tool that given an image can generate the code for it? I’m using React and while things like cursor and copilot are nice I can’t give them images of what I’m after but I can describe over multiple iterations. I’m after a tool that I can give it an image and it generates the code with styling.
Any recommendations?
What would be really useful for me is a tool where I could give it a jpeg, or better yet... a Figma / XD file, and have it convert it into a HTML / CSS template
I remember a while back everybody was raving about how ChatGPT can convert a sketch to HTML, but that is no use to me whatsoever.
I'd like to be able to convert a finished design to code... does such a thing exist? Maybe ChatGPT Vision when its available?
So I did a hobby project a couple years back, using LAMP and the website was just mostly HTML/CSS.
Has AI come up with stuff to make setting up the HTML more intuitive? Is it easier to deploy SQL dabatases and do username/password management? I'm guessing at some point (if not already) this can be done out of a box or out of a can or something.
I enjoy the ideas around web development but the coding just takes time and maybe a robot can do it better.

Hear me out before you downvote me to oblivion...
I've been seeing more and more devs who can't write basic CSS without Claude/Cursor/v0 holding their hand. They'll ask AI to "make this responsive" instead of understanding flexbox. They copy-paste generated animations without knowing what transform-origin actually does.
Yeah, AI tools are incredible and I use them too. But I'm starting to think we're creating a generation of developers who can't debug their own stylesheets because they never learned the fundamentals.
Some observations that worry me:
Junior devs who can't center a div without asking ChatGPT
People using AI for basic media queries they should know by heart
Overly complex generated CSS that could be 10x simpler if written by hand
Complete inability to troubleshoot when the AI solution doesn't work
Maybe I'm just an old-school gatekeeper, but shouldn't we at least understand what we're shipping to production?
Counter-argument welcome: Maybe this is just the evolution of development and I need to get with the times. After all, we don't write assembly anymore either.
What do you think? Are AI tools making us better developers by handling the tedious stuff, or are we losing essential skills?
Have you noticed this in your workplace/projects?
I currently I using claude, i even pay for the pro version. I started wondering if there are any AIs that are better or maybe even cheaper
I have this idea to build an AI tool where you can enter a URL and then it will spit a CSS file with proper styles for fonts, spacing, colors, etc
Using 2 or 3 books loaded with best practices as its source of knowledge.
Can someone build it and send me the check for the idea?
What’s best AI tool for Front End design. I use Claude and Cursor. Design is not impressive. It struggles with CSS.
It lacks imagination.
Is there an app or an ai that helps you to get all the code in html and css from your figma design?
I was creating a website and chatgpt was helping me, but it's a bit bad with HTML questions. Is there any other artificial intelligence better than chatgpt and Deepseeker?
is anyone else doing this? it cant just be me, right?
ive been working on coaching chat gpt4 and copilot (gpt4 is much better to work with, less errors) and have had a really good time learning along the way too, go figure. it isn't a simple "describe your site and it spits it out in pristine condition ready to go" experience, it is a try and fail, re-iterative feedback process with endless revision, almost similar to how i would assume a normal human would do it.
any tips from others doing it this way? are there specific ai apps for this use case yet?
love u neocities, decentralize everything<3

I've tried few. For now, I've tried like 3 chatbot and Chatgpt got me result result for css and JavaScript.
Which free AI chatbot in your opinion produce the best code for frontend? Like which would you use if you have task to only create frontend with using AI chatbot?
This will be so useful for creating quick buttons, footer, formsetc which like doest not requires us to spend much time and can be done easily.
I wanted those task to be done by AI so that I work on complex ones as I have little tight deadline.
