It can be split screen or pass and play, we’ve been playing game of life recently but wanting more similar games or just anything really.
Preferably cheap 😭
Already picking up RE because of the co-op feature. What games do you like so two brothers can play on one PS5?
Only giving one PS5 to the boys so any suggestions would be appreciated. I am totally new to the ps5?

What do you guys think is the best co op game on ps5/ps4? For me it would be helldivers 2, also because of the added crossplay option. But the gameplay is just so good in my opinion
I already know about "It takes two" and "Split Fiction", but besides those.. but what are some amazing local co-op games that someone could play on his couch?
Me and some friends have booked a weekend away to just relax and play PS5, so I'm looking for the best couch co-op games that we can buy to play (google isn't being much help, half the games suggested are online only!) We already have Nidhogg, Diablo 3 and Heavenly Bodies, does any one have any other suggestions please?
EDIT: What an amazing response, thank you for all the suggestions! I was hoping to get one or two replies :D
I’m looking for games I can play with my wife on my ps5. Specifically I’m looking for 2 player local co-op campaigns as it’d be really fun to progress though a campaign together. At this point I’ve found 2 games that interest me, Black Ops 3 and Balder’s Gate 3. But I’m looking for some other recommendations, as I’ve been told the Black Ops 3 campaign wasn’t very good. Any recommendations would be great though!
This question has been asked, but not for a while with decent responses. (2years ago was the most recent I could find with a lot of good replies).
I’m re-asking now for a more current list of 2 player online Co-Op games.
hopefully, with my explanation, this is not seen as annoying.
I want to play a game with my wife that is couch co-cop. Something similar to split fiction. I wanted to try bg3, but i read online that the split screen feature is poorly optimised. Any opinions?
Hey, I recent bought a PS5 after owning Xbox series X for a while. I wanted to ask the community which couch co-op Ps5 games are your favorites.
I am looking for a good couch co-op game to play with my friend who's not into games and is playing for the first time - we played astro's playroom, she enjoyed it but was struggling with tricky jumps and places where it required to use more than 2 controls (just so you guys get an idea of her experience). I was checking that It takes two is great game, but as far as I checked, I think it would be too overwhelming for her to play it. Plus I don't like split screen and it restricts me to play coop mode only. I am also looking at sackboy - which is coop and not splitscreen which seems great. What do you guys think? Please give suggestions.
Edit: it's just my assumption about the above games. Please correct if I'm wrong. Also, are there any free ones also?
Hello, my Wife and I currently are struggling to find any more Couch co-op games to play on the PS5. We are big RPG fans. We have played and finished Skyrim Split Fiction It Takes Two Terraria Stardew Valley Skyrim BG3 Diablo 3 and 4 Outward Divinity Original Sin Kingdoms of Amalur
We don't really know where else to go. We are looking for games like WoW that we can play on our own characters sometimes and play together as well. Any recommendations are welcome. Thank you 🙏🏻
My wife and I were about to replay Outward, split-screen, on the PS5 when it occurred to me that my best friend and his girlfriend should download it too. That way, my wife and I could play on our TV and play with them while they played together on their TV. Come to find out, Outward only supports 2 players in one game at a time.
Are there any games out there that would fit my idea? My wife and I playing together on my TV, along with my best friend and his girlfriend together on their TV. Like a local/online co-op hybrid. If such a thing exists, please let me know!
Every year in the Fall my group of buddies and I stay at my cottage for the weekend to blow off some steam. We are all in our 30’s, have careers and families, so for the weekend we nerd out playing board games, watching horror movies, smoking meat, eating like shit, all while getting high and drunk.
This year I’m bringing my PS5, so I’m looking for some recommendations for fun couch coop games. So far I have Stardew Valley, Golf with Friends, and TMNT Cowabunga Collection. Any other PS5 bangers you guys can think of that would be fitting for such an occasion?
Appreciate any and all recommendations, thanks!
I'm looking for more games that are local coop. Me and my wife loved the divinity games and loved it takes 2. Currently playing for the king. Any other games that are highly recommended?
My mom, younger brother, and I like playing games together, but we're currently running out of games we can play together... so I need some help finding new ones for Switch and/or PS5. I'd appreciate any suggestions that are appropriate for a preteen. Thank you!
Some games we've played and enjoyed:
Overcooked 2
Mario 3D World
Mario Wonder
New Super Mario Bros U (and Deluxe)
Good Job!
Moving Out (1 and 2)
Mario Party Jamboree
Plate Up!

Hi! We're a couple that enjoy playing local co-op/splitscreen games together. Looking for some game suggestions as we're both unable to find something that fits our needs. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
What we're not looking for:
-
Platformers or games where you need clear levels (like overcooked, it takes two, etc.)
-
Deep Fantasy games like Diabo 4/Baldur's gate 3
-
Combat/Shooters
-
Sports/Racing games
What we are looking for:
-
Games that have progressive difficulty (the more you progress, the more there is to do)
-
Combination of story/open world characteristics.
-
We really enjoyed playing Stardew Valley, but its tough to find more such local coop games with a similar interface and mechanics.
She’s a more casual gamer who…
Loved:
-
Minecraft
-
Stardew Valley
Enjoyed:
-
Diablo 4
Did not like:
-
Baldurs Gate 3 (too slow/too much story)
-
Helldivers 2 (too frantic)
-
It Takes Two (not into puzzles)
-
Back 4 Blood (way too frantic)
-
No Man’s Sky (She didn’t like that I had already played through once)
-
Terraria (Didn’t get into the side-scrolling)
I feel like something like Pal World would be perfect, but it’s not on PS. Same with Valheim.
Any recommendations that might be a good fit?
Thank you for your help! Paying games together brings us together in some really cool ways (inside jokes, stories, problem solving together, etc).
EDIT: THANK YOU FOR ALL THE IDEAS!!! You all are awesome! Also… we do have two PS5 systems. That certainly would have been helpful info to share initially. Thanks again. I appreciate all the thoughtful feedback!
With holiday break coming up, me and my sister wanted to play a game. me and my sister already played the two games listed above. I was wondering if there were any other games that you guys recommend to play. Preferably not too hard as my sister player very little games, and also something that is more of a story focused compared to a sandbox/fighting/racing game.
i have both a pc and a ps5 to use
