I have an iPhone 12 and have been buying soft silicone cases for years that I like (pictured), but they now get greasy after a few month.
I don't wanna keep buying new ones from AliExpress to replace every few months.
So what are good brands or types? Is Casetify actually good or overrated/overadvertised?

Casetify is currently under investigation for IP theft and copyright infringement (and in my opinion, the copying is pretty blatant). As well they seem overpriced for what they are. I've heard mixed things about their competitor, dbrand's cases; that they're fine but also a little overpriced. I personally love Spigen cases ; they're minimally thick and priced really well but still protect excellently and hold up to scratching and drops well! Poetic is a good step up if you don't mind your phone getting chunky but also wouldn't mind some extra features (like a kick stand), and Otterbox remains the industry standard for chunktastic cases that make your phone practically invincible.

OtterBox has served me well, and they have more unobtrusive models out now. IMO any gimmicky-type case is likely to peel/crack/not actually protect your device.

I prefer silicone at this point. Leather gets dirty just from being in pocket and the clear case shows dust underneath and fingerprints. Silicone has the perfect texture; it won’t slip out of your pocket because of the grip. More on reddit.com

Not sure if this helps, but I love my case. My phone is the new version of Apple's cheaper line. Can't remember the name of it to save my life right now. But, I got a case from a flea market. It is an immitation otter box. Works well. You can find cases on Amazon that are really durable for about $20.
