I really don’t want to buy fast fashion from Amazon, SHEIN, Fashion Nova, etc. However, I don’t have the kind of money to buy from department stores such as Bloomingdale’s or Nordstrom. For example, I’m trying to find a cute sweater skirt set, and the paid and organic search results are mostly from SHEIN. I like thrifting, but given my very slim build, it’s usually hard for me to find second hand items that fit well.

Just curios what stores everyone loves! Mainly looking for the ones that aren't the ones everyone already knows, like places in the mall, shein, etc.

I see a lot of Shein-type stores but would like better quality materials and construction. I'm willing to pay more for that but also don't want to break the bank completely.

So i’ve noticed that a lot of the clothes at H&M, american eagle, holister, forever 21, pacsun, princess polly, fashionnova, edikted, all have shitty quality clothing. i’ve been shopping at these stores for years but i’ve recently noticed the quality isn’t the way that it used to be and they make everything so expensive… at this point i might as well shop on shein because im done paying $40 for a top that’s made with cheap ass paper fabric. i know they are all fast-fashion brands so obviously it’s expected for them to not have top tier quality… it’s just the fact that these brands make everything so expensive when they are literally made out of paper. so what are some brands that actually have GOOD quality ??

31 years old and I barely have any clothes. I feel like all my stuff is white/gray/black tees from Walmart and decent looking like joggers or sweats from Walmart or places like fashion nova(lol).

When I was a kid I used to shop at places like dtlr or macys and crap like that too find stuff like Levi’s and okay shirts to go with my Jordan’s but after school I pretty much just stopped buying clothes and have just been living off of omega casual or workout wear.

I never even see guys like talking about where they shop either like how basically all women will tell you where they shop but with guys it’s like a complete mystery. I’m looking for just casual avengers movie fits with the bros and decent date night/vacation fits with the lady.

I'm 44 and have always found in-store clothes shopping stressful, overstimulating, and frustrating. I'm at the point where I basically buy everything online. Even though I regularly need to return things that don't fit, I don't like etc, I find it easier than in-person shopping. I just can't deal with going from store to store, pushing past hundreds of hangers, trying on dozens of clothes, then walking out empty-handed. It's such an exercise in frustration.

I'm 5'3 and 154LB with a big chest, short waist, and a flat rear so a lot of times, I struggle to find clothing that fits well. I've found myself veering more towards vintage-style pieces.

I get a lot of clothing off Amazon but I also love Quince. I'd love to hear other sites you all love for clothing: good quality, affordable clothing in classic cuts and polished, timeless style that have easy return policies.

I live rural so my options for in-person retail are extremely slim and selection is awful at all of them. I'm not wearing a cropped shirt at work. Why is it all cropped!? I'm in the adult women's section! And I don't want the widest wide leg pants either (they look great on some people...I am not one of them). Where are the medium rise, straight leg pants hiding?

I also no longer have the patience for the checkout ordeal.

only places are shein or depop but they're normally very overpriced on depop and shein is obv not a good place to order from. i have the option of thrift stores but i don't like going out and id rather shop online cause its easier since i only have apple pay (and i don't have to annoy my mom asking her to go to a store.)

I (33F) am not a fashionista and I don't have time to thrift so if I'm going to buy new clothes, I want them to last. It seems today's clothing market is just continuing to get worse and worse. I'm even willing and able to fork over some decent cash plus repair clothes as they need it. The problem is I can't seem find anything but "fast fashion" or full blown high end designer clothes(that I have no interest in). The third option seems to be PNW/former hippie mother/grandmother clothes; no shade, it's just not my style. Where do y'all shop for clothes that will actually last more than a year? Bonus points for non-polyester fabrics.

I'm a 30 y.o male and want to up my clothing game. I've been buying things from the mall usually whatever I see that looks nice, but don't really have a specific style. I also order things online from Amazon here and there, but sometimes the sizing is different across different brands both in person and online.

I'm wondering if anyone has a go-to website that has consistent sizing and different styles I can pick from. Or in general where do I start if I want to find a style that matches my looks and also doesn't look cheap or poorly put together.
