My phone is breaking down and I’m looking to get a used/refurbished phone (mainly iPhone). Any good Canadian websites or shops here in Calgary ? I would look on Facebook marketplace or other buy/sell apps but I’ve seen way too many people get scammed and it turns out the phone is carrier locked, apple id or Google locked or even a flat out fake phone.
I am looking to buy a refurbished or used iPhone in Vancouver. I saw that cell clinic retail store sells refurbished phones has anyone bought from there? How was the phone? And does anyone know where to get good quality refurbished iPhones in Vancouver?
With her own money, my teen daughter wants to buy a refurbished iPhone -- but I've never purchased a refurbished phone.
Is there a store you would recommend? (Evergreen Traders?) Is Marketplace reasonable? (I feel buying without knowing the phone history is a risk.)
Also, what would we need to inquire about beyond battery health before buying?
EDIT: Her phone plan is through Public.
(This isn't a proposal for an Apple-Android debate, btw. I prefer Android and gave my daughter a very old Galaxy as a first phone. Turns out a high majority of teens have iPhones and therefore communicate through iMessage. With an Android, my daughter isn't receiving group text messages and has been missing invites. We're just adapting to the reality and, unfortunately, switching to an iPhone seems to be a social requirement. It's a tough topic for an adult to reflect on.)
Does anyone know a non-sleazy store that sells refurbished older iPhones?
I need an iPhone 13 or 14, the Pro or Pro Max version. Specifically one of those four models. It's for a work project so I need a store that can provide an invoice.
Thanks!

Seeing as these things are bloody expensive, I am looking into a refurb phone. I know there is FB / kijiji, but I'm looking to see if there are any local places that sell refurb phones. Going this route I'd at least get a small wrty if issues come
It’s been awhile since I have picked up a refurb. I wanted to post to see if I was missing some website or place.
I’m looking for an iPhone 14 Pro as a gift for my parent. I mainly wanted the best phone that still had lightening so I didn’t have to explain how all the new cords work.
I was thinking Best Buy or gazelle are the best places to look. Or eBay if I am really plugged into the seller.
Am I missing somewhere else where it would be good to pick up a refurb?
Sure Apple refurb is great but tbh I don’t want to spend that much as a gift for someone who def won’t appreciate it. Ha.
Looking to purchase a used Iphone. Any recommendations for a store or reputable online seller? Thanks in advance
Hey everyone!
So my phone is on its way out after a bunch of yrs of use and money has been tight these days so I’m looking to pick up a used iPhone in great condition and was wondering if anyone here has suggestions on legit places selling good quality used to phones. Please let me know if you have any recommendations
Thanks guys!!
Looking for somewhere to purchase a cheaper (under $250) iPhone. Model isn’t very important but prefer it’s still updatable to the latest OS. Does anyone know somewhere in the region (or online) that isn’t a scam? Thank you!
Sorry if this is the wrong place, but it does have to do with saving money :) As the title said, I’m looking for a reliable place to buy second hand or refurbished apple products, particularly iPhones. I take really good care of my things and they last for years, but I want to contribute less to over-consumption of products and stuff. I’m also hoping that some of these places have warranty of some kind, like a 1-year warranty or something.
Im going to try to purchase it next summer and I’ll be in Edmonton.
Thanks in advance!
Traveling to east coast in Canada later this year ( around new iphone launch actually ) and was wondering where you could buy refurbished iphones? Is there a store or official reseller of apple that offers refurbished models? I am looking around the area of Toronto, Montreal, Quebec. Will be doing a roadtrip around or passing these areas.
I am not a Canadian resident, so online purchases will not be possible.
I'm looking to buy a refurbished phone online. Need something with a receipt (not Kijiji/Marketplace) for taxes next year.
Hey all,
I was wondering as the title suggests where the best place to buy a pre owned iphone would be. Preferably online but if it's only instores that's fine too. The only thing really is that it comes with a warranty or Apple care. Also not really looking for kijiji, letgo, ebay things like that since every time I use them I have very bad experiences with the phones. Thanks :)
Im looking to buy phones for my teens. I was looking into the I phone 13 not too expensive and still has upgrade comparability. I’ve heard of back market and Amazon what reviews for you have on those and other confirmed websites please ?
Hello all,
So my phone's been smashed and modern life is super duper hard without one.
Are there any local places I should check out in addition to the usual online place (kijiji, craigslist, etc)?
Sometimes there are (sorry to use the phrase) "hidden gems" in cities that are mostly word-of-mouth.
Thanks all!
Hi,
Mainly been an Android user here but am looking to make the switch to iPhone and PM at the same time.
Having never really paid much attention to iPhone in Canada realizing that there aren't many places to find them refurb/open box. I'm always on the lookout for good deals I can't not pass up, even if I have the cash on hand, mostly.
I found a few at Mobileklinik. Best buy although I don't trust many things that are refurb from there on the best buy third party marketplace, and Apple itself. Am I missing anywhere?
I feel like once I push past the $800 mark I might as well just bite the bullet and get the iPhone 15 brand new and just keep it for 5 years. Is this a bad decision? I understand everyone is different but just don't want to rush into one I may regret.
I'm specifically looking for 256 gb varients.
Apple's refurbished website has a lot of 12 pros. Would they be worth it at this point for around $300 less than the regular 15, which I feel like is almost a smaller 14 pro.
Does anyone have experience with any of these refurb websites?
Any help / insight and tips from PM iPhone users is appreciated.
Regardless I'm super excited to get in on this. Already this community has been very welcoming and gave fantastic info. I appreciate yall.
Hey everyone, I'm looking for some places to check out besides bestbuy/normal outlets to get a burner smartphone that's less than 100$. It doesn't even have to work that well, only needs to run whatsapp. Any idea on where to check out in the city?
