Hey everyone,
I’m on the hunt for a sleeper sofa that’s comfortable for daily use, not just occasional guests. Ideally, it should have:
Good mattress/support, something you can actually sleep on every night.
Durable frame, I don’t want it sagging after a few months.
Style that fits a modern living room, bonus if it’s not huge or clunky.
Easy to open/close, and preferably not a huge hassle to make the bed each day.
I’ve been looking at a few options like Lovesac Sactionals, Joybird sleeper sofas, and IKEA Friheten, but I’d love to hear from people who actually use theirs every day.
Which sleeper sofas do you swear by for daily comfort? Any models to avoid? Tips on mattress types or brands would be amazing too.
Thanks in advance!
I’m looking to replace the current couch in our guest room/my office with a sleeper sofa, so we don’t have to bring out the uncomfortable air mattress when we have guests sleep over. Would love some recommendations and/or reviews on what sleeper sofa to NOT buy.
Here’s the requirements I’m looking for:
Couch width: around 80”, anything longer than 85” is way too long for the space. (Doesn’t matter if it’s full or queen once it’s in bed form)
Budget: under $2000 (after tax and delivery)
Preferably leather or a fabric that’s easy to clean and water resistant like performance velvet. I don’t really have a style preference
Preferably in pull-out bed style or pop out mattress style. I don’t really like the look of a futon, I also slept on a futon as my main bed for like 3 years as a child so maybe I have PTSD
Preferably be able to see the couch in stores but not required
Bonus points: if it has some type of storage
I was eyeing the Ikea Morabo sleeper in leather for a while, but it’s 87” and that would be too long. I am currently looking at the West Elm Whitman Trundle and it’s a good length and I got a swatch of their performance velvet, and it’s water resistant and can be easily cleaned. But the West Elm stores in Washington don’t have that couch, and I’m not able to find any review or videos of it other than the official product photos, so I’m kinda reluctant to drop $1600+ on it.
I’ve seen a lot of good leather sleepers that meet my criteria but they’re all so ridiculously expensive, and I know it may not be possible to find a couch that meet those criteria, but if there is one that meets 1 and 2 then I would still consider it, if it comes to that. Thank you!!!
