I'm looking for wireless earbuds that have the best microphone quality. Is there any good ones you have tested or know of that would be best for calls?
I need to get a birthday gift for my dad and his galaxy buds are due for a replacement. He doesn't listen to music on his earphones at all but does use them all day either for wireless calling (for work) or listening to podcasts. He prefers the silicon-tipped in-ear style. I know wired earphones have better microphone quality but if you had to recommend one wireless earbud for mic quality + comfort + durability which would it be? Around $175 USD is okay.
I'm debating between the airpods pro (usb-c) and the pixel buds pro.
I want earbuds that have a good or somewhat decent micdophone because I use Discord a lot for calls on my phone and calls in general. Also, I listen to a lot of music, especially in the metro so I really want ANC.
I have an android phone which is why I'm hesitating and leaning more towards the pixel buds pro for functionality and compatibility (like in terms of some features being disabled for the airpods on Android devices)
Pixel buds pro
Pros
Good controls (volume control and whatnot, swiping feature)
Better microphone in LOUD environment, voice is more clear (From the tests I've listened to online)
Cheaper than the airpods pro
Cons
Some disconnect issues
Weird fit (at least from what I've read... They seem fine to me)
Airpods pro (USB-C)
Pros
Comfortable fit (have tested my mother's airpods pro)
Better microphone in QUIET environment (From the tests I've listened to online)
Cons
Missing features for Android phones
Expensive (around CAD$100 more)
Thank you to whoever has read this far and even goes out of their way to respond 🙏
I currently have the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC and the Powerbeats Pro. They both have terrible mics. The liberty 4 has great sound but awful input. The Powerbeats Pro has good sound for a 5 year old wireless earbuds but the microphone is bad outside.
Any recommendations for wireless earbuds that have excellent microphones?
I don’t want to spend $100 on AirPods right now and I love my todo t6’s but people often say they can’t hear me or can’t hear me well
I honestly care more about the mic than the sound because of how often I’m on calls
I couldn't find an answer on any previous posts. Is there a good wireless earbuds that have mic and connects to Windows pc via a dongle? I don't like headphones that go over the head. All my meetings are with video and i look terrible with over the head headphones.
I currently use Galaxy buds 2 pro. The mic is terrible. I tried pixel buds too. Same issue. Especially they disconnect often.
I'm surprised there is not a good product that solves this issue. I found one from Jlab, but the reviews are quite mixed.
For context- I use an iPhone and I live in nyc (loud outside sounds)
Im wanting some wireless earbuds with a good mic quality for whenever I livestream or record video scripts for my YouTube channel on my Win10 laptop since overear headsets get upcomfortable after a while for me personally, anyone have any good suggestions? The mic doesn't have to be anything amazing since the only background noise that's around me usually is a fan that's a few feet away from me and my chair squeaking sometimes I just something that's enough for my viewers to hear me decently. Thanks
Edit: If the price is a little over $100 then that's fine but $100 or less is my preferred budget
When I talk using the phone itself there is never any problems, my wife can hear me perfectly. It's when I use any of the earbuds I've owned she just cannot hear me well. I'm convinced she's deaf but that's probably just my frustration. It happens mostly in quiet office environments or noisy airport terminals, where I'm trying to not talk too loudly because I don't want anyone to overhear and so I'm not one of those people who talk loudly on the phone in public (hate those people)
I've used the following:
Veatool 5.0
Tozo NC2
Soundcore Liberty 4 NC
She said I sound like a potato with them all. Help me please. It's really frustrating to have to give up and just disconnect the earbuds and hold my phone to my head. I'll probably spend $250 if it's worth it even though I feel it's ridiculous to spend that much on bluetooth earbuds
I have Belkin wireless earbuds but whenever I use them during a call I'm told that I sound too far from the mic. I have another Sony wireless earbuds but the wire goes around the neck and the microphone is on the volume control so I sound fine when using them.
I'm fine with the Sony type of headphones but are there cheaper alternatives (below 60) with good set of microphones? Or is there any way to fix the microphone issues with the earbuds I have?
The title says it all. I see a lot of posts saying best buds under $50, $75, $100 & $200.
So everything I’ve researched online, listened to audio tests, and watched different YT videos, so many earbuds have a crappy mic.
Can anyone offer up a suggestion for a wireless set of earbuds with great sound, ANC, and mic?
Thanks
Hi, I need a pair of earbuds for work video conferences. Got the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live but they are slightly muffled - what would be the absolute best option for me if budget was not an issue? Thanks :)
Airpods are pretty good for calls
Haven't got a lot of good advice on this forum for this specific question unfortunately. But from other places, I finally decided to get Google ear buds. They're supposed to be really good. Look at online reviews that have a mic test.
I realized that the true criterion for judging [microphone isolation and noise cancellation] may not be eliminating background noise -- just making it much lower than the voice of the person wearing them
Feel like a horse in a room full of unicorns asking for wired earbuds, but I’m just old school like that. The wireless ones just get lost too quickly, I'm super forgetful or they get busted. But the thing is, I need a good mic on them too to take calls properly when I’m walking, so something that picks up on my voice even when it's moving. Not many other specs needed cos whatever the pin is like, I have one of those adaptor cables so shouldn’t be an issue.
Hi guys,
I am in the market for wireless earbuds and I need these categories in the following order
-
Best, best, best microphone - I need a clear vocal, not bassy or muffled because of ANC
-
Comfort - I know it's subjective, but I think the bigger it is the more fatigue
-
Good ANC - doesn't have to be perfect, just something that gets the job - like my WH1000XM3 headphones
From my research people say 1More ComfoBuds, Elevoc Clear have the absolute best microphones
I also noticed the new 1More EVO and LibertyPro 3 - seem like a better overall package, but not sure about their mics compared to the above
There is always Samsung too - but idk how their mics are, as for sony - definetly a big no because of mic
30 models tested here
Got the soundcore. The mics are quite good (gotten better with software updates). Quite impressive noise suppression and great vocal clarity, but the aggressive noise suppression can be a problem if you're generally a soft speaker/wearing a thick/tight mask in a really noisy environment
Hi!
I'm looking for a pair of Bluetooth earbuds (either TWS or the ones with a connecting wire).
My number 1 priority is CLEAR CALLS. I need it mainly for work and I work remotely so i have a lot of calls to attend. I sometimes have background noise (fan, family making some noise) so ideally it cancels the background noise, only amplifying my voice. I currently have a headset with an attached microphone that serves this purpose but it's wired and it's too bulky and uncomfortable for long durations.
Other priorities would be durability (I don't like changing stuff too soon) and comfort. But again mic quality is the most important thing for me.
Also ideally looking for something under $100. What are the best possible pair of earbuds for me?
I’ve had multiple different Bluetooth/wireless earphones over the decade at this point. As of the past 3 years I’ve had 2 apple AirPod pros and one Beats Flex.
I like the AirPods but I’m so shitty with them. The new set of pods are lost somewhere amongst my home or accidentally thrown away.
The old set is shitting out
The beats have also just disappeared.
The issue I’ve always had is Mic quality.
I get told I’m quiet even when my audio sensitivity is to the ground and non existent
Hello
Currently have the Sony WF-1000XM5 and they're *fine*. No more than that.
My issue is I do a lot of calls whilst out and about. And I cannot seem to find a good set of earbuds that prioritises the quality of my voice in particular (wind noise, background noise etc).
I do want ANC but would quite happily put up with lower ANC quality and higher sound of my voice.
Any recommendations?
D
I have had better luck with more inexpensive ones like Jabra Elite 4 or Sony x700. The noise cancelling is less aggressive.
I have had good luck with Earfun Stem models too.
If I was to try one re additional noise filtering, I would likely try Linkbuds S or Beats Studio+.

TG-01 by EasySMX, though they're for gaming. The sound is good enough.
