Last year my wife needed a new phone after dropping hers. This happened in early November, so we waited until the Black Friday events were on.
Apple was offering a gift card. But the carriers also seemed to be offering deals, but each one was different and there seemed to be no obvious way to compare them. It was all confusing and we gave up due to the crowds.
Did anyone here buy a phone during this period in Canada and might offer some clarity?
p.s. I'm getting a warning about this post because of the word "buy", but I don't think this applies in this case?

Purchase the device one week before Black Friday from Best Buy or walmart. Then ask for price match on black Friday or next days after black friday ( usually carriers continue their black friday offer for another 3,4 days). Always work for me. Usually for iphones, Base models for current year and last year will always be on sale.

Hey guys, Does anyone know if there is any black Friday deals for iPhone 16 pro in Canada? I found a couple but they were either for the US or for iPhone 16 (not the pro). Typically no. It’s never on anything new like iPhones or even the expected upcoming Macs. Usually you get a gift card to use later but no discounts.

Third party Apple retailers can occasionally have some pretty good deals like Best Buy, Amazon, or Walmart but Apple itself dosent really ever offer actual discounts on price and instead include gift cards free with purchase
