I'm looking for a bluetooth transmitter and reciever pair for 3.5mm jack, which would have a transmitter which takes input via 3.5mm jack, and a reciever which would output the transmited stereo audio via 3.5mm jack.
I have a 20-year old Hitachi 6160 receiver which is still going strong. It supports everything I need. I output from my 4K TV via optical-in for audio only, no need for 4K passthru. I have been watching shows streamed to the TV in 4K and output via the 1/4 inch headphone jack on the 6160. I bought a pair of Alessandro headphones from Grado Labs and have been very happy with audio over the last 15 years or so. DTS and DD are both mixed to Hitachi's Silent Cinema mode, which emulated multi-channel audio and works extremely well.
The headphones are reaching the end of their lives and are ready for a replacement. I would like to get wireless headphones, but the transmitter would need to plug into the 1/4 inch jack otherwise I can't use Silent Cinema. Some of the Bluetooth cans advertise that they have eliminated the audio delay inherent with BT solutions, but I am not particular. BT, RF, whatever works. Are there any headphones which meet this criteria?
Before I start, let me first say that I know this subject has been raised before repeatedly without success and it hasn't been a good option because of audio quality & latency. The most recent post I can find was about a year ago though, so can we revisit the subject of headphone-to-bluetooh adaptors briefly?
Has anyone figured out a good setup for mixing via wireless headphones?
As a gamer who uses wireless headphones, I know that wired headphones have lower latency but the wireless headphones I game with have an amount of latency that I think would be fine to DJ with.
