Bose no longer requires you to make an account just to use its app | The Verge
April 27, 2021 - Bose has gotten rid of the needlessly annoying requirement of creating an account just to use the Bose Music app. Buyers of the Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 and QuietComfort Earbuds can now customize settings without one.

r/bose on Reddit: Bose Music app unresponsive and unable to sign in
February 18, 2021 -

I have just purchased the Bose 700 noise cancelling headphones, which seem to work great. But obviously I am supposed to pair them up with the Bose Music app to take full advantage of the customizability. I have a Bose account, but when I open the app after downloading and try to sign in, this perpetually meets me. I click "Sign In" (or "Create My Bose" they both do the same thing), and the box continuously spins like it is loading. However nothing ever happens, and I have no ability to use this app or its connection to my $350+ headphones.

I have:

  • restarted my phone

  • uninstalled and reinstalled the app

  • disconnected wifi

  • disconnected Bluetooth

Nothing has made a difference. I am on Android. What can be done to solve this? Because this experience is unacceptable.
