When your kiddo reaches the first shoulder marker, or when the harness fit is impaired (buckle is too low, basically). It’s more likely at four months old that you need to put the headrest up - in rear facing, straps must always be at or above the shoulder where they come out of the seat shell. If you haven’t put the headrest up in a while, that’ll be the problem. She’ll still need the lateral support from the insert for a while yet. More on reddit.com

Hi! Love it. We have been using ours for about a year (since he was 3 months) & while I miss the convenience of the infant carrier, I feel like the O4L was easy to install (we have a jeep) & is easy to buckle & adjust. My husband has arthritis & struggles with the buckle sometimes, but I haven’t had that problem (& it means our button loving toddler can’t let himself out.) More on reddit.com

Does anyone have this car seat? I'm concerned that the harness seems too wide/broad at the shoulders and that the hip harness is too low for my 6 month old. This is a convertible car seat, so it should technically fit a little dude.
We just moved up from the Chicco KeyFit 30 infant seat and that one fit so snug that this one has me concerned.

For the shoulders, the clip should be at armpit level (my Marathon manual says nipple height, but who can see nipples?). The hip harness... we never really saw problems with. If you're adjusting the shoulder straps to go into the back of the seat below shoulder level, the tightning strap between the legs should hit pretty right. http://carseatblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/CTMAJackfront.jpg Hope the visual helps. IIRC it landed more flat against the thigh, than against the trunk/pelvis.
