Perhaps Brother's website has a breakdown, but I doubt it, and the site is currently down.
I'm looking to buy a used Brother printer and want to understand the models by a simple glance at the model number.
D is duplex. W is wireless. That's it.
The numbers mean nothing other than to identify a new or unique model from the previous version. Manufacturers run into problems with numbering systems all the time and often have to restart entire lines of products to account for more options. It would be better to identify them by manufacture date like we do vehicles, but manufacturers don't like to commit to promises that they will deliver everything that is needed with a single model per year. Man, my 2015 hp laserjet runs like a top though.
The letters identify the major features of the printer.
Hi, I hate my HP, so so much and I need a new one.
I went with Brother printers since they are apperently immortal and I've only heard good things about them.
Some features that are important to me are:
be a laser printer
solid B&W printing
have a scanner
wireless connectivity
The MFC-L2835DW seems like a good choice but is quite expensive for me, being a lowly college student with not many funds to my name.
So I wanted to check if maybe someone has a cheaper alternative.
Thanks in advance :)
