I'm looking to buy an ESTABLISHED dopshipping store.
My requirements are:
- has revenue
- at least 1 year old
- has traffic
Hey guys I'm still a newbie to this so I was wondering if any of you more experienced people could give some insight. Is it worth it to buy an existing dropshipping business and what are some telltale signs to look for when considering a purchase. I've come across a couple websites that seem decent (to me). So far I've considered marketing costs and CPC and where they source product and how fast deliveries are. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Hi I’m a very new member of the dropshipping community. I’m currently just at the stage of planning and laying out the foundation for my own store but I’ve come across a reoccurring issue. Every piece of advice I’ve gotten is that sites like AliExpress and Alibaba used to work in the past but it’s not great anymore because of many reasons, specifically delivery time and quality. My question is:
What is the best dropshipping sites/suppliers for beginners in 2023?
And to be more specific selling in the US. Thanks 🙏🏼
Hello, i’m looking to start a dropshipping store but i want it to be fully prebuilt, including website, a distributor, etc. I have 100 dollars and I don’t know what i can trust, is Brandbox a good website?
I recently considered buying a profitable Shopify store, but it occurred to me that there's no point. Any dropshipping store can be copied down to the theme and ad copy. You only need some Shopify experience and you'd have an identical site within one day. All you have to do next is source from the same supplier and run Facebook ads.
When you buy a store, you buy a traffic + e-mailing list. That’s the most important point
The point is that you are buying a brand, not just a dropshipping store. Building a brand is the hardest part of drop shipping. If a store established a brand name, it is more reliable and trustworthy in the eyes of the consumer. There will be return customers and word of mouth customers. If you tried to set up an identical store, you would have to start building a brand from nothing and that takes a lot of time.
Don’t buy an unbranded drop shipping store. If that’s the case, then you are right, there is no point if there is no brand
I have been on aliexpress for 2 different stores and have run into the same issue of delivery time. Not only does it take a month for a product to come in for me to make media for to advertise with, but customers get mad and creates issues scary enough for someone without an LLC. I have looked into Spocket and USA Dropshipping but don’t know other good options out there. Could use some helpful insight.
I’m looking to buy a small drop shipping site on one of the various marketplaces, something between $2,000-$4,000 with a small social media presence, e-mail list, decent SEO and hiring a freelance marketing coordinator to spend 10-20 hours a month on and providing them with a small budget ($200-$300/mo) on ad campaigns and social media. My intent would be to hire this person on for 3-6 months initially to see how it goes and re-evaluate from there.
Ideally I’m looking for a niche product, with small but consistent sales that brings in $100-$500/mo in profit that I would use to help cover the marketing budget and reinvest into the business to help scale.
This would be a project I’d want to work on outside of my standard 8-5, my background is in software/tech sales. I have a tiny bit of familiarity with e-commerce and marketing.
Am I completely off base here? There seems to be a lot of negative feedback regarding purchasing dropshipping sites. My intent is not to find some turnkey store that requires minimal effort, but a decent proof of concept that I can spend 5-10 hours/week on + the freelance marketing coordinator spending an additional 10-20 hours/month on.
Sounds like you want to buy a money making machine. If you dont have experience how will you buy a good store hire a good freelancer and know that they are doing a good job?
Running a drop ship business with tariffs in flux, global post being reconsidered for the US, low margins and terrible supply chain is a losing proposition.
Hi,
Where can you buy a shopify store? And also, has anyone done that here? What are your 2 cents on this? Im debating either to buy one and expand on that or start a new one and try to make it work. Im fairly new to dropshipping so im not sure what is better.
I’m new to this and i wanted fast shipping so i was going to use cjdropshipping but the shipping is super expensive and i was wondering what alternatives there are that people use.
I'm interested in hearing any words of advice from folks who have bought stores or know the ropes.
I'm looking around on Flippa and some Business buying sites. I don't really have a set budget but since it's my first time buying I only want to drop like 1k on it, cause then I'll have expenses on ads afterwards too. At the same time, I'm not expecting the world, just something that can give me ROI.
I understand a bit about general business buying, but if anyone can give me some industry specific buyers tips or guidance it would be very much appreciated. Even useful resources you can point me towards.
Is it a worthwhile endeavour?
How much should I believe the "selling because I don't have the time and want to focus on other things" line?
Any help is appreciated 🙂 thanks
That'd be the plan, wouldn't be nearly as useful without it. I can sign a contract agreeing not to use their strats to knowingly compete with them in an industry unless I reasonably could have found out elsewhere or knew already (and I will know most stuff as I already do a fair bit of digital marketing).
You have to be very careful, nobody gives up profitable business easily. You are obviously a scam target.
And BTW, the reason of store profitable is that the effort owner put it on. Do you think you can keep it profitable running by yourself?
Hello,
I've found an ecommerce business that is pretty cheap and doing around $1000 a month in net profit.
I was wondering what advice you would be able to give to me. Purchase advice and transition from the old owners to the new owners. Anything related to that would be great.
Danger. Start your own instead.
I've found an ecommerce business that is pretty cheap and doing around $1000 a month in net profit.
Where? Is it on flippa? If so, beware of scammers, 90% of the sites there got fabricated stats and you can only verify if you know what you are doing.
Found a reasonable store. Had 30k revenue since October 2019. Last month July had about 6k revenue, so the store is still active.
Owner said he made 7k revenue, 1.9k profit, 3.3k Facebook ads and the rest is product cost since beginning of July to middle of August.
He's selling for 3k. How does that make sense? If he made 1.9k profit over a month and a half, why's he selling for just 3k?
But also, revenue data from Shopify shows it's been making revenue until at least July 2020, and according to owners ad spend, it is still profitable. His reason for selling is because he has other stores that are bigger and more successful.
But that doesn't justify selling a decently successful one for cheap. Values at 20k by Shopify, selling for 3k.
Do you think there's a scam here? Or should i buy given the numbers?
What do you mean "Values at 20k by Shopify"? Did Shopify give you that info?
Shopify dropshipping stores are kind of fly-by-night and not long-lived. You shouldn't expect to pay 30x monthly revenue or anything like that. Plus there are many costs involved like products, shipping, taxes, advertising, etc. I personally would never buy a dropshipping store because of how volatile and untrustworthy the revenue would be. Look at Empire Flippers or somewhere like that and buy an affiliate or display ad type site earning more consistently and passively if you want to buy an income website.
also is using oberlo a good idea? I’m new to this 😭

Im very new to dropshipping. I've created my store and set everything up and I've started organically marketing it on Tiktok, Insta reels, and Youtube shorts. Can I have some feedback on the site and marketing?
website - shopvitaliq.myshopify.com (don't have a domain yet)
socials (insta, yt, tiktok): @ vitaliqblend
What do you think of my website? Does it look shady/scammy? Would you trust it and buy from it? Is it too boring? Is it easy to navigate?
And for the marketing, i've only started making videos a few days ago and so far I haven't gotten much engagement from any of the platforms so i'd appreciate any tips suggesting how I can boost my videos preformance. I try to do my best, I copy my competitors videos almost exactly and I've also tried using SEO. Is there anything that im missing or could do better?
I know my product is very saturated and i've only realized that after already setting up the store. Should I keep going with this product and wait a little longer or should I move on from it?
Thanks! Let me know constructive critics.
Has anyone tried them before? If so, is it a hardcore scam or are they actually profitable? I don't want to waste money, but I am clueless a niche. I feel like I can nail the marketing part, but not so much actually building my store and knowing what to sale. I'm thinking of having a company build my store for me at this point.
The company that I'm looking at uses US suppliers and that was a really big thing for me because I really didn't want to use AliExpress or Alibaba due to the shipping times, current world events potentially affecting shipping from China in the future, and it kind of seems like people are probably going to go and check to see if my product is on AliExpress and then not buy from me if they find it. I also don't want my store to be an obvious drop shipping store lol. The company also makes it so that your products are branded and so far based on what I've been reading up on and seeing the branded products to do the best.
I don't want to take the seemingly easier way and have it go belly up after investing in a company to build the website for me. But I also feel like if I get it professionally made and have them do the building up for me I might have a better chance of turning a profit on everything. What do you guys think?
Hello guys, simply looking for good dropshipping websites examples. doesnt have to be something big. just pretty ordinary e shops. they simply should be done neatly and professionally. with right poliecies, nice design, good tools implemented (live chat etc), well done product pages etc. just ordinary, small size (but nicely done) dropshipping websites, which you would call an examples!
Hello! With having myself getting things started up with Shopify, and doing alot of research, I wanted to get it first hand from people with experience in dropshipping. Which supplier seems to be the best one overall to work with?
We always see the beginner ones that get posted here and the feedback you guys give is awesome. However I'd love to see what would be considered a "perfect" or at least succesful looking dropshipping store. Ideally one that could be replicated with no coding or extremely advanced methods if possible.
