Is the Canon EOS R6 Mark II actually better than the EOS 5D MARK IV?
Upgrading from Canon 5D Mark IV to Canon R6 Mark II - Question
Canon 5D Mark IV or no?

So I'm about to get into photography and go out on my own - PS: would love to hear your tips about going out on your own and entering the industry! (from AUS) - and I'm seriously debating whether to go with the 5D MARK IV or the R6 MARK II. I've heard the R6 MARK II is a great investment, and the upgrade is worth it. But at the same time I've heard SO many amazing things about how durable, and reliable the 5D Mark IV is - [EDIT: I mentioned earlier that I thought the lenses compatible with the 5D Mark Iv were NOT compatible with the R6 and I now know that is very wrong hahaha and it's useful to get an adapter - thank you everyone!]
I'm leaning more towards the R6 Mark II, but I just don't know if it's what I need. They're both big investments, and I don't want to be coerced into buying the more expensive one because it's 'newer and better'.
FYI: I'm looking to get my hands dirty in any shoots I can, but am hoping to walk towards like artistic portraits (close-up and full body) and shoots, maternity, engagements, family, portraits, literally anything. But I would love to have the ability of creating fun and artistic pieces.
THANK YOU!!!
I currently have a Canon 5D Mark IV and am considering upgrading to a mirrorless camera. I've decided on the Canon R6 Mark II. I'm aware that the R6 Mark II has fewer megapixels than the 5D Mark IV, but I'm curious if this will feel like a big downgrade.
My primary focus is dog photography, so I'm particularly interested in the autofocus capabilities of the mirrorless system. For those who have made a similar switch, do you miss anything about the 5D Mark IV? How does the R6 Mark II compare in terms of overall performance and image quality?
Thanks in advance for your insights!
