I was hoping there is a simple fix for this? I'd like to change my sons "adult Apple ID account" to a "child account" & possibly fix Family Sharing.
When I got iPhones for us 2-3 years ago, we all created our Apple IDs. However, I inflated my sons birthday, he's currently 12 years old but I entered 1980 something as birthday.
Currently our Family Sharing is:

I got my Ipad when I was around 8 and my mom sighted me on to her Apple ID and I’ve had new iPads since then but I’ve always kept my data and stayed on her ID. I got a phone when I was 13, and I created a new apple ID for myself. Now, I’m 16 and me and my mom both want to switch my Apple ID on my iPad to the one on my phone, but I also don’t want to lose all my apps and photos. Is there a way to switch Apple IDs but avoid this?

Sign out of icloud and select to keep all your messages and photos. Sign into your new apple id and have your mom create a family group. Have her invite you to that family group as an adult. You'll gain access to all your previous purchases.
