yeah insta’s password reset process is kinda messy.. on mobile it sends that magic login link but doesn’t always let you *actually* reset the password. try using the mobile app directly (not browser), then go to settings > security > password once you’re in. if that doesn’t work, you might need to log in, then add a backup email or number first and request the reset again. if the account ever gets locked and recovery fails, i’ve seen people fix it through swapd, but hopefully it doesn’t get to that point. The same problem happened to me two months ago. Unfortunately if you don't know the email you signed up with, theres nothing instagram will do for you to get your email back. However you can get them to change your password. If you go onto the instagram app, click forgot my password - and keep clicking around till you reach a page where they ask you to provide a contact email address, the email address you signed up with (not important I just put another random account that I had access to), then they ask you to select the issue you have with your account. In the box titled 'other' you can specify your issue. Someone from instagram will contact you soon on the contact email you provided. If you don't know the email, they will ask for a picture of you holding up a code which they will provide you in the email (to verify your face against pictures on the account to make sure it is you). Then, if everything matches up, they will send you a link which should allow you to reset your password. Hope this works out for you! More on reddit.com

I then changed my password but the Done button went blue only for a split second then went back to being grayed out. Can anybody tell me why that is? Can i do something about it?
