Hey everyone!
I did some research and found these :
Kling AI, Runway ML, Pollo AI, and Leonardo AI.
My main priority is good-quality video generation, and it needs to be budget-friendly (up to $20/month). Gemini Ultra Veo 3 is sadly out of budget ($250/month!). Which of these would you go for? Any other platforms that fit the criteria?
Thanks!
Why do all of these AI video generators claim to be "free" and just hit you with paywalls?
Can someone please recommend some that are free, or at least let me make one free video?
Videos
So I had briefly found a free text to video generator that didn’t use credits or require an account and could do unlimited (even multiple tabs), before it disappeared like a month ago.
I don’t really care so much about quality (at least to a point), but wondering the best bang for your buck for unlimited generations. Like I saw Envato is offering it for I think $16.50 a month IF you sign up for a year (and like $35 for month to month) but I never heard of them and there are so many options nowadays. If it uses Veo3 or similar that’s amazing but fine with less sophisticated options as long as it looks somewhat realistic and understands prompts ok. I just kind of got addicted to the slot machine effect of seeing if it gets my prompts I guess, and more fun when it’s less restrictive of my inputs.
In your opinion, what’s the best budget-friendly way, or budget-friendly app or site deal, to focus on maximizing quantity instead of quality? Preferably for short term since I might step away again if I start to get carried away. Thanks!
Hey everyone, I know this gets asked a lot, but with how fast AI tools evolve, I’d love to get some updated insights from users here:
What’s the best paid AI video generator right now in 2025?
I’ve tried a few myself, but I’m still on the hunt for something that offers consistent, high-quality results — without burning through credits like water. Some platforms give you 5–10 short videos per month, and that’s it, unless you pay a lot more.
Also: Are there any truly free or open-source alternatives out there? Something like Stable Diffusion but for video — even if it’s more technical or limited.
I’m open to both paid and free tools, but ideally looking for something sustainable for regular creative use.
Would love to hear what this community is using and recommending — especially anyone doing this professionally or frequently. Thanks in advance!
I've been looking at hailuoai, runwayml, dreamina and recently higgsfield, and have only used some of their trial versions. VEO3 from what i heard is pricey. Please recommend if there are better ones out there. Thanks.

Whether you're a marketer, educator, content creator, or startup founder, or you just want to make things for fun, this post helps you decide which tool fits your workflow and budget.
I've evaluated 15 tools based on real world testing, UI/UX walkthroughs, pricing breakdowns, and hands on results from automation features (URL to video, prompt generation, avatar quality, and more)
I tried linked my most used / favorites in the table as well but moderation rules didn't allow me to. My go-to as of rn is Slop Club though.
Since we’re wrapping up 2025 and I’ve spent an unhealthy amount of time messing with AI video tools, here’s the short list of the ones that I enjoyed the most:
Akool
Akool is the AI video generator I use when I actually have a deadline. The Win: It is incredibly user-friendly. One image and a simple prompt can generate an interesting video. The Reality: The face swap and character lip movement are impressive, but it definitely isn't for cinematic art. The main drawback is the lack of deep creative control, if you need specific "mood" lighting or complex camera angles, it’s too simplified.
2. Sora
Sora is for high-concept visuals. The Win: It creates "impossible" shots that shouldn't exist, breathtaking for experimental storytelling and b-roll The Reality: The lack of control is a major pain point. If you need a predictable result or a repeatable character, you just suggest an idea and hope it listens.
3. Runway
It’s the Photoshop of the AI video generator world. It’s just there, and it works. The Win: Motion Brush and Gen-3 Alpha give you just enough control to feel like you’re actually editing. It’s stable and rarely produces "body horror" anymore. The Reality: It can feel a bit "sterile" compared to the newer, weirder models, but reliability is a feature, not a bug.
4. Synthesia
It’s insanely effective for training, internal comms, and explainer videos. The Win: Perfect for internal training or HR videos where no one wants to be on camera. The avatars are finally at a point where they don't instantly look like robots. The Reality: It’s strictly for information delivery. It has zero "soul". But for a 10-minute training module, you don't need soul, you need clarity.
AI video in 2025 already felt fast. 2026 looks unhinged (in a good way!) Curious what everyone else has been using. What I somehow missed this year?
I'm looking for an AI video maker with these options:
Free / Affordable ($10/month max) No watermarks No stock footage Ability to extend length (5 minute max is fine)
This would be very helpful
Thank you in advance!
>>Edit - I ended up going with Openart Ai which has been great. They have Sora 2 built in and also all of the other major video generation engines like Veo 3 and Kling.
I want to make viral video shorts for facebook reels and YouTube shorts. I can'y get access to Sora 2 as I am in Australia and we don't have access here yet. Are there any other alternatives? let me know your best ai video generator. thanks in advance!
Why do all of these AI video generators claim to be "free" and just hit you with paywalls?
Can someone please recommend some that are free, or at least let me make one free video?
Never done one, would like to start. Preferably without an ugly watermark.
I’ve been testing a bunch of AI video tools lately to turn both text and video content into quick, UGC-style videos. The problem is, most of them are either:
too expensive 💸 too robotic 🤖 or the free ones just don’t cut it in terms of quality or flexibility. What I’m really looking for is something open-source (or at least free), easy to use, and ideally made for non-technical users. I don’t need crazy animations — just clean, fast, social-friendly videos I can generate without spending hours editing or burning through a budget.
Any recommendations for tools that hit that sweet spot? I’m open to browser-based tools too, as long as they’re not locked behind paywalls or packed with watermarks.
There's too many paid ai video generators to count, but are there any free ones with no strings attached to it. I dont think i could run it locally unless its easy on resources. I cant even run the latest ai models im still stuck in sd 1.5.
I have SORA and it's unable to do what a lot of video generators can do with AI. I've heard runway's excellent. Can someone please list some of the video generators out there and explain their specs/benefits/weaknesses.
Edit: Sort answers by new for most up-to-date responses! People are still responding in July
I’ve been experimenting with AI tools that can turn images into short videos. So far I’ve tried JoggAI, Sora, and Runway, just testing the free options, but I’m curious if there are other tools out there that work well. I’m also trying to compare them to see which one’s easier or better to use.
Does anyone have favorites for this kind of stuff? Free or freemium options are fine. Would love to hear what’s been working for you.
Hello everyone,
I have been using/trying most of the highest popular videos generators since the past month, and here's my results.
Please notes of the following:
Kling/Hailuo/Seedance are the only 3 paid generators used
Kling 2.1 Master had sound (very bad sound, but heh)
My local config is RTX 5090, 64 RAM, Intel Core Ultra 9 285K
My local software used is: ComfyUI (git version)
Workflows used are all "default" workflows, the ones I've found on official ComfyUI templates and some others given by the community here on this subreddit
I used sageattention + xformers
Image generation was done locally using chroma-unlocked-v40
All videos are first generations. I have not cherry picked any videos. Just single generations. (Except for LTX LOL)
I didn't do the same times for most of local models because I didn't want to overrun my GPU (I'm too scared when it reached 90°C lol) + I don't think I can manage 10s in 720x720, usually I do 7s in 480x480 because it's way faster, and quality is almost as good as you can have in 720x720 (if we don't consider pixels artifacts)
Tool used to make the comparison: Unity (I'm a Unity developer, it's definitely overkill lol)
My basic conclusion is that:
FusionX is currently the best local model (If we consider quality and generation time)
Wan 2.1 GP is currently the best local model in terms of quality (Generation time is awful)
Kling 2.1 Master is currently the best paid model
Both models have been used intensively (500+ videos) and I've almost never had a very bad generation.
I'll let you draw your own conclusions according to what I've generated.
If you think I did some stuff wrong (maybe LTX?) let me know, I'm not an expert, I consider myself as an Amateur, even though I spent roughly 2500 hours on local IA generation since approximatively 8 months, previous GPU card was RTX 3060, I started on A1111 and switched to ComfyUI recently.
If you want me to try some other workflows I might've missed let me know, I've seen a lot more workflows I wanted to try, but they don't work for some reasons (missing nodes and stuff, can't find the proper packages...)
I hope it can help some people checking what are doing some video models.
If you have any questions about anything, I'll try my best to answer them.
Hey everyone—I'm hunting for an AI video generator that can:
Produce high-quality, cinematic videos (realistic or stylized)
Include built-in audio (music/SFX/voiceover)
Generate clips of at least 1 minute if they can't generate at least 1 minute+ long videos, then dont even mention the ai plz.
Offer unlimited generations (or very high monthly or daily generations)
Money isn’t an issue—happy to pay for top-tier plans
I want the absolute best—even if it costs $100+/mo. What platforms or engines would you recommend? Open to desktop, mobile, or web-based solutions. Thanks in advance!
Hi, I tried generating videos on my PC but it is too slow, even a 320p video takes ages to finish, often with terrible results. So now I'm looking for an online AI video generator. I used Kling, it is not perfect, but good enough for me, but it limits the video length to 10s. I want to be able to generate 60s-120s videos. Is there a good online AI that can do it for me and is not crazy expensive?
