The Cherry Creek Trail follows Cherry Creek as it winds through stands of spruce, aspen, scrub oak, and pinyon-juniper. Much of the trail has good shading and is within a few yards of the creek.

Hike along old logging roads to a 25-foot tall waterfall on Cherry Creek just outside of Duvall. Note that access to this area is part of an agreement with nearby homeowners, and part of the trail is on private land, so please remain on the main path, observe leash laws and keep noise to a minimum as a courtesy to homeowners along trail.

With most of the trail right on the creek (and under the busy boulevard), I didn't have to worry too much about car traffic either.

Trail goes through cottonwoods, willows and grasslands along neighborhoods, nearby commercial areas, and through parks and open space by Cherry Creek.
