I was approved for the Citi Simplicity Card for $7,800. I made a username/password, and I was filling in the balance transfer information, but once I hit submit… ERROR (timed-out) and I haven’t received a single email from Citi.

None of their support phone numbers work for me, as the machine can’t find my account w/ my social. It won’t let me login with the username/password I set either.

This is gaslighting me into thinking I never applied, but I swear I did and was approved!!

I saw some other ppl say it took 3hrs-2 days to receive an email. Has anyone else experienced this? Help!!!

I recently opened a Citi account (haven't gotten a card in the mail yet) and logged in online to see my features as I plan on doing a balance transfer. They advertised 21 months interest free balance transfers and 12 months interest free on purchases. When logged in the balance transfer introductory doesn't show up at all. I also don't have a balance transfer option through the website or the app.

It did give me the option to transfer a balance after first being approved, but I didn't know my approval amount yet so I just wanted to wait to know how much credit I had available.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I am hoping I'll see the rest of the features once the card comes in the mail. If anyone noticed this issue before, did it resolve itself or did you have to contact customer service. I can't contact customer service yet as their system is not recognizing me just yet.

I got a citi Simplicity last year for a balance transfer, i paid the balance transfer off after like 4-5 months and i was no longer using the card. I saw all the talk about the custom cash so i called to see if i could do a product change. I was told i had to wait my full year and to call back in January to change it.

I called today and the CS rep informed me since October of 2024 the citi Simplicity card can no longer be pc. Now I just have a card I'm never gonna use again 🤦🏿‍♂️.

They did offer a 3 month 5% back on my Simplicity card for movies, plays, etc (basically a limited entertainment category). Unfortunately, i declined bc i already get 4% back on all entertainment on one of my cards.

Just letting everybody with the Simplicity know about this bc i was unaware.

I opened a Citi Simplicity Cr Card account ( in addition to other accts I have with citi) , after reviewing the product details which specifically is a balance transfer card with 0% APR fr 21 months. However after opening the account I came to know that there is no balance transfer available for me. As per customer rep, BT is available only if Citi sends me a promotional offer. So here I am with a useless Citi Simplicity Cr Card , with a credit line of 500$ and no BT. I have zero use of this card right now .

My question to anyone else with this card - If they are advertising it as Balance transfer card , shouldn't it be made available when account is opened? I m confused why I did not get BT on this card , and why would they let me open the account if they think I am not a eligible for BT and only worth 500$ credit line. . BTW my score is 830 which is exceptional.

Update - I closed the account, with such less credit it was of zero use to me. They claim they added BT now, but I couldn't not see it on my account. Very poor transparency, took multiple calls and escalations, not worth it. The customer care reps are giving wrong information ,one even gave me a fake incident number .

I have about $4k in debt from another Citi card and a chase card. The rates in both are pretty high. I plan on paying it off within the year. I know there is a 3% transfer fee to Citi simplicity but would it be worth it for the 0% apr for 21 months?
