I am looking for any big tips that would help me prepare for the CompTIA Security+ Exam. I am currently feeling down on my current job as an appraiser and feel like I am going no way almost 2 years later.
I have always been tech savvy with helping others with basic questions and I know if I put the time in for this certification that I can pass it. I would like to mention I have a degree in Business administration and have no prior IT training.
Any help to get a confidence boost and being prepared for this test would be greatly appreciated because I feel like I don’t have much confidence unfortunately.

Professor messer YouTube videos is a start. His course are free. I would spend $20 to buy his course note so you don’t waste time hand writing them. His course follows the Comptia objective so you have to connect the dots / concept on your own Exam compass website just get your memorization down. The questions follows the Comptia objective but it’s nothing similar to the actual exam. Exam questions are scenario based. Darrill Gibson security+ book is very resourceful. It explains the concept in a straight forward term. I’ve learned a bunch from this book and his questions are good. His website Get certified Get ahead has some practice question & sims you can try out. I would search Reddit and see if you can find a free study guide that people made/posted. Make sure the version are current. I used an out of date version and just take my own note to fill out any gaps. I am an accounting that knows how to build a pc, other than that, zero IT experience and I passed. Not a good test taker either. If I can passed so can you.
