Is this for actual payroll with federal/state/unemployment/fica, etc? Or just a basic hour x rate = pay? I would STRONGLY caution against trying to run payroll through Excel. It can be done, but you'll probably want to kill yourself after the first round of quarterly taxes, if you make it that far. There are a lot of low-cost options out there with a huge range of features that will make your life easier and keep you from spending hundreds of dollars and an unreal amount of time on tax notices. Intuit Online payroll and ZenPayroll are two I've used and they both are decent. All that to admit that I don't have any sort of template, but if you're just looking for contractor check calculations it shouldn't be too difficult to set up.
