Good websites that allow students to make their own graphs (not Desmos or Geogebra)
Are you using the desmos graphing calculator, or are you creating activities? If you create a custom activity, you can add a “Sketch” screen, add a coordinate plane background, and have students “hand”-draw graphs on that coordinate plane. More on reddit.com

What is the origin on a coordinate plane?
The coordinate plane is a grid formed by a horizontal number line and a vertical number line that cross at the (0, 0) point, called the origin. The coordinate plane is also called a Cartesian Plane.

In what ways do engineers use coordinate planes?
Engineers use coordinate planes in various ways to analyze and represent data, design structures, and solve problems. Some common uses of coordinate planes in engineering include: · Graphical representation: Engineers use coordinate planes to plot data points, visualize relationships between variables, and analyze trends. This helps them understand the behavior of a system or process and make informed decisions. · Design and drafting: In fields like civil, mechanical, and architectural engineering, coordinate planes are used to create technical drawings and blueprints. These drawings represent

How many points are there between two coordinates?
The number of points between two coordinates on a line depends on whether the line is continuous (infinite points) or if it is discretized (finite points). · In a continuous line, there are an infinite number of points between any two coordinates. This is because you can always find a point closer to one of the coordinates, and you can keep dividing the distance between the two coordinates indefinitely. · In contrast, if the line is discretized or divided into smaller segments, the number of points between two coordinates will depend on the level of discretization or the number of segments you

Hey all. Eighth grade math teacher here teaching completely remote. I'm about to start graphing lines on a coordinate plane and I'm wondering if there are any sites that let you do this. My plan is to have the kids graph the line, take a picture of it using snipping tool, and paste the image into a google doc to receive credit. Let me know, thanks!

Edit: I should probably be more specific. I'm looking for a tool where my students click on a blank coordinate plane to add points. Then, have the ability to make a line out of the points they graphed.

I'm doing trig functions with my Pre-Calc students, but since we're 100% virtual, the only method so far of them submitting work has been through taking a picture of their work and uploading the picture or scanning it if they have access to a scanner. And since our district is 1:1 with Chromebooks, I'm trying to find a website solution.

Desmos and Geogebra aren't really options because they automatically highlight all the critical points, and I want students to be able to calculate the critical points themselves. What would be nice is a blank sheet of graph paper with options for labeling x and y axes, plotting points, and even just having a sketching option so students can sketch out the wave.

Any recommendations?
