Hello, everyone. I'm a Taiwanese planning to pursue a master degree in statistics this year
My plan is to enhance my practical experience through DataCamp.
Currently, when I check the website,
the subscription price is at a 50% discount ($149 USD for one year),
and there is only one day left for the promotional period.
I would like to know if there are usually better prices available in this year
or should I just go for it?
Thank you all for your responses.
Hi,
I know this is a dumb question, but still wanted to confirm lol.
I got 6 months of free DataCamp from my university and I found it really worthwhile, so I want to continue with the subscription.
Only I am confused about the pricing.
A year plan is 153 € in Europe, but it says they charge in USD $.
So, is the annual payment is going to be amount shown in local currency like 153 $ or according to current conversion rate 165 $.
How exactly am I going to be charged, since there's no option to pay in local currency. I am a student so I have to look for my bank's fees.
Additionally, I can ask my parents in India to do it for me. Would that work, because my student email is of European uni?

Context: I'm a complete noob trying to learn Python for Data Science and ML, and I just found out about Datacamp today. I see they are offering a discount on their subscription from $399 to $99 for the next 8 hours. But I'm always a bit skeptic about these timed offers.
So I wanted to know from you guys, is Datacamp a good place for a beginner like me to start? Is that price really a discount from the usual price they offer? Are there any better alternatives for me to learn?
Hello iam an aspiring data analyst still learning sql and datacamp has a discount of 165 for a year is it worth as a resource for learning sql and python after or not ?
DataCamp has had their 50% "sale" on their page for years but every year the subscription seems to be going up. In 2022 it was $139, then in 2023 it was $149 and now it's $165? It comes off like the sale is just a strategy to getting people to sign up for a year and the actual price is around $150 and steadily has risen over time. This type of strategy, if true, makes me question how recognized they actually are. I don't see this certification being sported anywhere on Data Science profiles in LinkedIn.
I am in a pretty bleak situation moneywise and I don't know weather to buy the subscription for 1 year or not! If you guys were to tell me how frequently they give away 50% offs as they are giving away rn, It would help me a lot in making a better decision.
$30/month or $300/year, are they insane?? Do they realize that a lot of people using their product are students with no money? I swear a month ago it wasn’t like this, they even had a deal I saw for $50 for 1 year, now the best deal is $150? I’m not going to be using it anymore, and I can’t imagine I’m the only one.
Also, if these have been the prices all along and I’m just stupid, then it’s still an absurd amount when I can just hop over to YouTube for free. Throw some ads onto the free version or something, idc, I just wanna learn SQL
I have in my notes that DataCamp cost me $180 in 2019, so $15 per month yearly billing...
It's jumped out to $25 per month for the standard or $33.25 per month for the premium.
Just curious as to why the price jumped up... I love DataCamp, but I just wanted to hear more about the causes/reasons for the price increasing.
I am trying to buy premium and just noticed that the iOS app shows 75$/year and web shows 149$/year. Anyone know if there is a functionality difference if I buy via app? Thanks!
I have been lurking around datacamp for some time, but it's a shame there is like no 14 days/month trial or something, because the price is a little bit too high for me.
I hate R studio, but I think if I learn it and understand it, I will hate it less. I know that DataCamp has occasionally promotion and offers a student discount, but the full (normal) price is now £119/year and for students £117... so it's not really discount.
Should I go for it?
Hey, I got recently laid off and want to upskill but the courses are expensive. Does anyone have a code that would work to help me subscribe?
Hello im on the beginning of work switching. I learn sql to become data analyst. But datacamp is not so cheap. Its for me a lot of money. How can i get premium acces for cheap?
Currently I am getting 1year datacamp premium for 59$. Do you all think this is a great deal or shall I wait for better offers?
Hello I am from colombia and I wanted to buy this plan but when I go to checkout this is the price that is displayed, why is not $75 am I missing something?
Hello. Is there a way to get a datacamp for free? maybe for 3 months? i’m junior student interested in their deep learning course and obv very short on budget so can’t pay ):
Hi everyone!
I was thinking about buying the DataCamp Premium Plan in order to learn some programming languages (R & Python) that will be useful for my bioinformatics training. I have tried several courses on R and Python and everything is so messy for me, maybe I do need some order to learn programming. I'm a newbie and I don't know the platform so much, so I'm not sure if it is worth it. Sure I can find the information from other sources and learn on my own, but I find DataCamp quite interesting and interactive for beginners like me. What do you think?
Since the offer ends today I need to choose soon :)
Thank you in advance!!!
Hi, I seem to remember DataCamp being $300 (with frequent 50% off promos, bringing it down to $150). Now I'm looking at the October promo and it states that the full price is $150 (with the October 50% off promo bringing it to $75). The monthly price is still $30, as it was before (I think). So did the yearly no-discount price drop from $300 to $150, or am I misremembering?
just got a supposedly 50% annual promo discount. is 150$ a good price or can it go lower during black Friday or other options you know of?
