Advice for organizing deep kitchen drawer
This may not be the answer you’re looking for but I actually turned mine into Tupperware storage. I started by minimizing my Tupperware and having one set. I did that so they stack nicely and everything fits in the one drawer. All the similarly shaped square dishes stack together and the lids are right beside it. The largest/least used ones are on the bottom and the food storage ones are toward the front. My infrequently used tools are in a more shallow drawer. The potato masher sits at the very back so it won’t stop the drawer. More on reddit.com

Going to ask what might be obvious - is this an ikea kitchen, and are there any hidden upper/inner drawers? I ask because a friend's first experience with an ikea kitchen was at an airbnb where they couldn't find the silverware at all, and had to contact the host. It was in an one of those hidden drawers. I am hoping someone could provide advice for organizing this deep kitchen drawer (https://m.imgur.com/a/2bwlQLb).
The drawer is used to store kitchen items that are not used daily (for example, apple slicer, potato masher, measuring cups).
The dimensions of the drawer are as follows:
Width: 10 and 1/4 inches Length: 19 and 3/4 inches Depth: 6 and 1/4 inches

Take out all the items. Get sturdy bags or bins or baskets you can easily pull out of drawer - make sure it has handles. Maybe three or four of them? Then sort your items into the four bins with helpful categories and pull out when needed. So for example have a baking bin. Or cooking tools bin. Whatever you have sorted in a way that makes sense to you. This way you can look abs find what you need more easily. But depending on where you have in your kitchen this drawer may be better used for other things and store what is in the deep drawer elsewhere that is more functional.

I just bought a house, and I was happy with the way the kitchen looked when walking through the house, but I’m realizing there are no standard drawers. Only large deep drawers. My struggle is where to put the silverware. I have this idea in my head that I could buy something that has like a sliding track I can install in the drawer maybe halfway down and then slide the silver ware divider back and forth like mini drawer to get at the stuff underneath. Is this a thing? Are there other good options? The only other thing I can think is to add a chop block to the kitchen with a drawer to use for silverware, which seems funky. It just seems like a colossal waste of space to put a 2 inch divider into a 15 inch deep drawer.

In my kitchen I converted a couple of the deep drawers to a shallow drawer at 1/3 height, inset over the remaining 2/3rd height drawer. See photo. The drawers were solid maple, so I had to get the bottom section cut and a new drawer built, via online drawer supplier. Added the leather pull so that it shuts fine but has a handle for opening. Both drawers use Blum undermount full-extension slides, maximizing utility. Works really well for me. This is similar to options available for Ikea cabinets.
