Where are you getting the DVD/CD driver missing error?
I’d download this, extract it, and throw every piece of hardware that’s missing a driver at it:

It contains Windows 7 drivers for every hardware configuration that the Optiplex 7050 is sold with.

I have about 70 or so users who pretty much all have new machines 7050s with Windows 10 Pro. I've been receiving multiple complaints about things not displaying properly. But here's the kicker, it doesn't happen with all the machines, just a handful of users. What it looks like is happening is the toolbars and ribbons at the top of web browsers, pdfs and various other programs, just disappear. It's absolutely a graphics issue, but I have updated the graphics drivers, tried uninstalling and reinstalling them, etc. Nothing seems to work. The minute you enable the Intel UHD 630, after disabling it, it starts working fine again. I haven't tried BIOS or chipset updates yet, which will be my next go to here...but has anyone else ran into this issue? Haven't found much on the net.

The Opti7040 thread was very helpful to me in my progress through this problem, but not sufficient for me to get through.
Solved Problems:
- USB 3 only: injected an even newer version of Intel USB 3 Drivers
- UEFI Secure Boot: In Bios, disabled secure boot & enabled Legacy ROMs.
Remaining Problem?
- 256GB NVMe Toshiba SSD (M2 PCIe, THNSN5256GPUK)
MS KB 2990941 - the windows NVMe driver did improve the situation, as did the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver.
But now, I get a required DVD/CD driver missing error. Not that this computer has a DVD/CD drive… I can actually browse the contents of the SSD, but it still will not let me continue.
TL;DR some drivers won't install on Dell Optiplex 7050. How do I fix it?
We've been using SCCM 2012 OSD to image our Dells (7010, 5040, 5050, 5414) for the past several months without any issue.
We apply drivers using the WMI query and driver packages built through the Dell Integration Suite.
We just received a batch of Optiplex 7050 desktops but can't get the drivers to take. I've read the problem can be Dell's use of NVMe SSDs but can't seem to resolve the issue. Typically, the only drivers missing are video, NIC, USB, and 2 others.
I went through the logs and they say the apply driver package completed successfully. Any suggestions?
Edit: Finally solved the issue! Dell's driver cab was bad. It had older drivers and some completely missing. I found the 6 missing/outdated drivers, imported them into the driver package and tried again. It worked.
Thanks everyone for all the help and responses.
I'm installing Windows 10 Pro 32-bit on an Optiplex 7050 and as soon as I connect to the network (whether that be Ethernet or Wi-Fi) it quickly blue screens with SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (WppRecorder.sys)
Then it goes into a boot loop where it keeps throwing the BSOD a few times, then throws me into recovery mode where I do an automatic repair.
This allows Windows to finally boot up again. When it does, it gives me a notification "We've removed some recently installed updates to restore your device after a boot failure"
If I reconnect to the network, it happens all over again.
The funny thing about this is that before I ever even connected it to the network for the first time, I went into gpedit.msc and disabled automatic updates entirely, then rebooted. So, what's it doing?
I wish I didn't have to use 32-bit Windows, but it's a requirement here. I am setting up new PCs for our production environment where they will be running various scripts to program microcontrollers on circuit boards. There are hundreds of scripts. They're old and rely on utilities that require 32-bit drivers for some different programming hardware.
