Delta - excellent customer service
I called Delta they said the faucets they sell at big box stores and plumbing stores are identical but why do seemingly all plumbers say they are not?
LPT: If you have a broken faucet (and basic mechanical skills), you can get FREE faucet replacement parts by calling the manufacturer's customer service.
I like giving credit where credit is due.
Selector switch on our 4 year old Delta shower head broke. I went down to the store and bought another one (also Delta--pretty much all you can get). Then saw on the package it comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Figured my old one had the same deal. Did a little googling to find my model number then called customer service.
A minute later I was speaking with a live human. 5 mins later I had an order to ship a replacement part. Got it 2 days later and it wasn't just the replacement part. It was an entire new shower head.
They didn't even ask for proof of purchase. Just asked where I got it from and when.
It's nice when the service actually matches the marketing language for the warranty.
My wife thinks it's because we're in California where they have stricter rules on replacement parts. Hope that isn't the case.
