The map also shows the major towns that connect with each railroad. Ultimately the model layout will comprise the D&RGW line from Denver to Glenwood Springs, as well as the D&RGW branch line to Craig and the C&S branch line to Golden.

January 12, 2025 - This map includes all of RTD’s planned line extensions (B, N, C/D, L) in addition to a proposal from Greater Denver Transit to upgrade the southwest light rail corridor to heavy rail (thereby converting the Union Station light rail platforms to through-running heavy rail platforms).

July 6, 2022 - Hi r/Denver, I wanted to share a little project that I've been working on, a sort of alternate version of the RTD schematic map. I hope it is ok that I am posting this here even though I'm not a local to the area, though I have very much enjoyed your city when I have visited! (mods, let me know if this needs to be removed or edited in some way). This map is actually part of a larger series I've been working on, showing all passenger rail systems in various US metros in sort of single, comprehensive maps.

The Colorado Department of Transportation produces an official map of Colorado railroads. Last revised in 2012, it is available at CDOT Rail Map. This map shows the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad as it appeared in 1925.
