Package on ‘Departed Asendia Facility’ - ‘Dispatched By US Carrier’ for over 20 days now

I’m so sorry! Asendia is a “partner” that Etsy uses to make shipping internationally less expensive, but they hold packages until they have a reasonable amount to ship to a particular area, and the shipping information often doesn’t update for a very long time.

As a seller, I have had luck looking up the tracking number directly from Asendia rather than through Etsy, and I can sometimes grab the tracking numbers that will work with a country’s postal service that way. Those numbers sometimes have more recent updates than Etsy. It is worth messaging the seller of your necklace to ask for help. Bear in mind there is not much they can do beyond perhaps providing you with a more local tracking number, and the delay was not caused by them so try to be calm. They may also have purchased insurance on the package so they would be able to tell you how long they have to wait to make a claim on that.

For what it’s worth, sellers often don’t realize what a pain using Etsy’s international labels will be, and Etsy has been taking steps to make sellers feel somewhat trapped into using Etsy labels. When you use an Etsy label for international shipping from the US, you are actually sending the package to a domestic Asendia facility (that’s those weird tracking statuses you are seeing), where it will be relabeled to move on to the customer. Asendia sorts those packages by destination, and transports them when it’s most financially effective, then the packages end up going through customs in the appropriate country, and shipped on via the local postal service. It can take quite a while, and get a bit stuck at any point in the process.

Has anyone bought items from the US on Etsy? How long does it take to arrive in Mexico?
I've bought several things on Etsy that ship from the US and they've all arrived without a problem. I've bought fabrics, jewelry, and even a sword, and everything's arrived. It takes a while, but it gets here. More on reddit.com

Asendia USA shipping to Canada?
AFAIK - The 21st was the estimated date that orders would be sent out from the manufacturer. Sounds like you lucked out if they're shipping out earlier than that! I recently joined a drop that has an estimated ship date of April 22nd, 2018 (hope they ship early). I'm from Canada (BC) and have had Ascendia deliver a few items through Massdrop. Their tracking numbers rarely transfer over to the Canada Post or USPS tracking systems in my experience. I read the reviews and got worried when one item was shipping late, but it did arrive, just a week or two late. Can't speak to the duties item as I forget if I paid duties or not on my Massdrop orders. I feel like I'd remember paying duties on one of those orders. More on reddit.com

As it says here, I’m not in an awful hurry to get it but I just want to know what to do? Is it normal for it to take this long, it says dispatched the 28th of April and it’s now may the 9th, I’m from Ireland and ordering from America so I know it already usually takes awhile. Any advice appreciated

I had a package going from US to England that was stuck in Portugal for 3 weeks. When you say it dispatched on the 28th, do you mean from the actual seller or that's when it left the States with Asendia? (Assuming the seller is using Etsy's Global Shipping, they would send it to Etsy, and Etsy would send via Asendia.) Unfortunately it is not unusual to see a large delay between leaving the States and arriving in Europe based on my experience, so I definitely wouldn't be worried at this point, it's only been 9 business days. Keep an eye on the tracking, but I wouldn't really start to worry until it's been about a month, because while most are faster, I've had plenty that are slower. That said, check your purchase history for the estimated arrival dates that Etsy provided. As soon as that window has passed, you can submit a case to Etsy for late arrival and you should get a refund, which is yours even when the product arrives, and as long as the seller met the requirements, it shouldn't come out of their pocket, it'll come from Etsy. I hope that makes sense.
