Which dremel bit is the best for grinding down stainless steel bolt?
Seems like my description has gone missing. For context, I stripped a bolt when trying to reattach the rear bumper of my car. It was just spinning in its place and I couldn't get it out. I decided to get a dremel and I have cut the head off. Now I need to grind the rest of the bolt down flush with the bottom panel so I can slide the bumper out again.
I was wondering which dremel bit is the best for this job? Is it the Aluminum Oxide Grinding Stone (932)? Thanks

December 30, 2019What are some good dremel bits for polishing/grinding steel that's type 5160?
I know of no Dremel bits that would be good for that, maybe others do. So I shall instead tell you what I use. I use a belt sander, currently just a 1"x30" from harbor freight, with 180, 220, 320, and 400 belt grits, slowly working my way up. Then I switch to a buffing wheel, again harbor freight, with basic cloth wheels, and Porter-Cable buffing compound from Lowes. I use the #2 first to polish out any sanding marks left by the 400, then switch to #5 to put on a mirror polish. It works very well. More on reddit.com

March 13, 2018Best bit for drilling very hard steel
Making knifes? I probably wouldn't use a dremel for that, just grab some cobolt drill bits, and use a regular drill (or drill press). Don't let them get too hot. Use cutting oil, (or even just WD40 will do in a pinch.) More on reddit.com
