Worth it will depend on your situation and budget of course. I really like my v15. For me, the v15 is great. 2400sqft house, 3 bedrooms(the only rooms that have carpet), two stories and two pets(1 cat 1 dog) I use the fluffy floor head attachment for everything but the carpeted bedrooms and I have come to find that using Eco mode with the fluffy head gets ... basically everything off of my hardwood floors -- and it lasts nearly an entire hour in Eco mode. Granted, I did say I have 3 carpeted bedrooms, so I switch to the regular torque/anti-tangle head and use the v15 in "Auto" when vacuuming the bedrooms. I would say maybe 2 or 3 times tops while vacuuming the master bedroom does it switch to its "boost / use more suction while in Auto-sensing mode" function, and only for like 5 seconds if that? And I think that only is happening when I vacuum the spot my cat tends to lay at the most, since the vacuum is detecting more hair/dander and kicks it up a notch to make sure it gets everything. For handheld use day-in-day-out, I use it in Auto with the standard sort of 'long nose' 10 inch or so attachment piece. It never switches into a "more suck power" mode in handheld for me.
