If you're just getting started selling on eBay, you may just be using the app on your smartphone.

There are a ton of advantages to using the desktop eBay.com compared to the app.

-Create listing templates

-Customize your listings with many more options

-Make your item description stand out with more fonts, colors, sizes, etc.

Change your preferences for shipping, payment, and unpaid items.

I highly recommend the desktop site. I'm sure this is known to many people but I hope it helps at least one person out there.

You forgot: -listings made with the app will have "allow buyers to make offers" forced on them periodically without approval from the seller. listings made on desktop are currently exempt from this practice.

Last but not least I look at a comfortable 27" wide screen display that stands firmly on my desk instead of using one hand to hold a 6" mice-cinema while tapping with my fingers of the other hand on a keyboard that isn't really there and where I always hit the key aside the one I want.

I tried Firefox/Edge/Chrome/Brave on Windows/Mac/Linux and could not log into Ebay. The site "ebay.com" loads fine, i.e. it loads completely. However, when I click on "sign in" on the top left, 2 things happen:

If I enter my username, Ebay shows the error "ebay.com refuses to connect"
If I use my email, then Ebay shows some rubbish like:

You're a power user moving through this website with super-human speed.

You've disabled JavaScript in your web browser.

A third-party browser plugin, such as Ghostery or NoScript, is preventing JavaScript from running."

Try a different link to sign in. From the sign in page, choose "New to eBay? Create account". On the account creation page, choose "Already have an account? sign in". Make sure you are using the latest version of your browser, and that JavaScript is not being blocked. Google whatismybrowser for help with that. Try signing in to ebay Canada or eBay UK. Try a different network to rule out a network issue, particularly if you are using a VPN or hotspot.
