How do I actually get a copy (from online) of my Employment Data Report at The Work Number?
TWN freeze: Can my employment still be verified via employer code?
Technically, Yeah, probably but I'm not sure that would be allowed or a legal request. They'd basically either have to make a direct request to Experian to search the employer's database for your specific information or experian would have to expose all of that employer's data for the background check company to search for themselves.
You can freeze and unfreeze your TWN as needed and yes, banks will absolutely accept tax forms and tax returns as proof of employment for financial purposes.

I read that employers are using TheWorkNumber to see previous work history and determine if you have a second job, so I pulled my own data.

I'd like to receive a copy of my Employment Data Report from (Equifax) The Work Number to be sure what I'm putting down on my applications matches exactly with what they have (should any potential employers actually use their service)
I'm going in thru this page: https://www.theworknumber.com/Employees/
Here is the instruction page: https://www.theworknumber.com/Employees/DataReport/index.asp
It tells me to Login. Ok, I click on the button and I'm taken to a page that says "Enter your Employer Name or Code:" Ok, how do I get that? How do I create/register an account (like any other website) so that I can login?
This link says Click here for a quick demo on how to request an EDR from The Work Number Web site - - - and it launches an adobe flash video that says "after logging in - do this..."
Great, but how do I log in?
I've also called multiple phone numbers on the site and they all eventually lead to automated prompts that tell me to follow the instructions on the website. Great.
