Technically, Yeah, probably but I'm not sure that would be allowed or a legal request. They'd basically either have to make a direct request to Experian to search the employer's database for your specific information or experian would have to expose all of that employer's data for the background check company to search for themselves.
You can freeze and unfreeze your TWN as needed and yes, banks will absolutely accept tax forms and tax returns as proof of employment for financial purposes.

April 5, 2025I read that employers are using TheWorkNumber to see previous work history and determine if you have a second job, so I pulled my own data.
I’ve never heard of this, pulled up the site and saw Equifax on the top left. Yup, they definitely have everything from the dawn of time on there. More on reddit.com
