I follow the guide, but when I'm about to inject the firmware, I open the file, the program just closes and nothing happens? I've tried with and without all antivirus enabled. Also tried on Windows 10 installation and Windows 11. Same thing happens. Anyone know how I might be able to fix it? Having some issues, for example windows audio doesn't afect audio levels, plus audio starts only after a short delay when doing playback of stuff.

Hi guys,
I would like to ask regarding firmware update of K11 R2R as I saw there are some available. I'm on version M63 now.
Question 1: Is it worth to update? Is there some big difference for using it as DAC AMP for Hifiman Edition XS, running via balanced output.
Question 2: Is it safe to update? I saw that some people had bricked it while updating to some of newer versions (I would update apparently to last one directly if possible).
Thanks for any info or experience with this.

Ok so I just checked FiiO web and it tells that there's no new update for R2R specifically... Then nothing to think about for now.

Well the only update there is has just added support for the native 1bit dsd, so if you have a need for that yeah update. If you don't need mentioned feature but are wondering is it safe to update I would say that it is, I can't imagine how can you brick the device if you follow their instructions and use the tool that they provided you with the firmware file.
