I just viewed an apartment in north Forest Hill. It’s 670 square feet, $2300/month, garage space and utilities included in rent, and has a storage unit in the garage. The nieghborhood is really quiet and clean. But it’s pretty far from anything other than a muni station. There’re no restaurants, grocery stores, gyms. I’m on the fence and was wondering what you guys think of the neighborhood or if this is a good deal or not? The last two times i rented apartments they were real lemons -__-

without a car that might be a little bit up there, but it's not super far from inner sunset and west portal etc., even cole valley. that does sound like a decent deal, assuming the unit is nice and up to date, no mold....

Depending on how close you are you that Muni station, you can be in the Castro or West Portal in less than ten minutes with very frequent train service
