Am I doing something wrong? My buds plus always locked in so perfectly. Never felt like they were gonna fall out. The pro fall out constantly. I'm really upset. I was looking forward to these more than the new phone.

There is actually, although really subtle. If you notice in the bottom of the buds is a small tip, that's the wing. Although not conventional it does the same job of mounting the buds in your ears.
Also, most promotional material doesn't include the wingtip. Just look at the icon for this subreddit.
