Hi, I'm fairly new to using GIMP and was wondering if there is a simple solution to inserting an image into an existing layer. The image has the same ratio, but a different resolution and should therefore be adjusted and centered to the layer.
I know that I can add an image as a new layer, customize it and move it to the intended location. But with the number of images, this is quite a lot of work.
To make it easier to understand, I would like to do a draw similar to the Champions League:
I would like to prepare the complete image so that I can insert the individual club logos relatively quickly after the drawing. My idea was to create layers as a kind of templates for the logos. And then simply insert the logos into the layers.
Does GIMP offer such a feature?
Hey guys, I'm fairly new to using GIMP and so i was hoping someone more experienced would know where to find a tutorial to make a logo similar to this one

(if link doesnt work its a facebook page Neon Giants and the pic is their current cover photo)
I like this kind of design but would like to make one with a race tyre in the background and my youtube/facebook page 'sam's garage' on there as well as a few other changes.
Cheers
