So far so good! I've been using it to play AFK Arena, Arknights, and Epic 7. I used to be using LDPlayer and Bluestacks.
Pros:
User interfaces are noticeably smoother. Games are as smooth and snappy as on my phone now. I use Google Play now for this single reason despite all the cons below...
Less bloat than full android emulators, which uses less RAM.
Cons:
Opening a game for the first time can be quite laggy until all the graphics/animations are cached.
No control mapping. In Epic 7, there is a thing called a Secret Shop, which has to be refreshed up to several thousand times depending on how much currency I've saved up. Control mapping makes this much easier.
No multi-instance. Only one game can be open at a time. I still use LDPlayer for Epic7 while it grinds on auto in the background.
No functionality for taking screenshots. This is surprisingly important to me, as I take screenshots of gacha pulls and difficult stage clears.
Overall, I see Google Play eventually making emulators obsolete once they add in all the missing features. The performance improvement is huge, I didn't realize how annoying all the subtle menu lag was in Arknights and Epic7.
