Every year my company throws a big party on Halloween, with all of the departments decorating their cubes + floors. Last year one floor did Arkham Asylum, it was incredible. I'm part of a smaller theme and we'd love to decorate and make an impact! Some themes that have come up are Mad Max, The Twilight Zone, Jurassic World, and Nightmare Before Christmas. We haven't decided yet but I would love some outside input.

Could go multiple ways: Lab Experiment gone wrong (Resident Evil/28 Days Later) Toxic Waste site (Return of the Living Dead) Just plain old zombies everywhere (Walking Dead/Night of the Living Dead) Some other Ideas: Area 51 Witching Swamp Vampire Lair Frankenstein's Castle Monster Collectors (have all the old Movie Monsters in Cages: Mummy, Wolfman, Swampthing, Dracula)

Well one thing I'd say is that most people really struggle with getting into Halloween, so make it have a costume aspect, but really easy to achieve, like "wear a mask". Provide them if you can afford it, or maybe just some for the poopers who don't bring one. It'll make it feel like a party then. Also, for adults, less candy, more themed baked goods or food. There're a ton of good recipes online for it, and I'm sure you have someone in the office who likes to cook or bake. More on reddit.com

Sorry to say it, but I hate Halloween. I let my kids get into it and we have fun, but I have disliked it since I was a kid.
My CMO is holding a costume party (WTF?!?!) at work on Thursday. It’ll be on the executive floor of our building and likely the CEO will be there.
Does anyone have any easy, simple work costume ideas? My company is conservative, Fortune 500, CPG. I am on a team of four, so wouldn’t mind doing a group costume, but one guy on my team is even more anti this event than I am.
My one and only thought: wear all black, paint a black nose and whiskers on my face and get some cat ears???
There’s also a prize for best costume but I’m staying 100 feet away from that.
