We bought this one in March 2020 for $149 as our first try at a weighted blanket: YnM Weighted Blanket, Heavy 100% Oeko-Tex Certified Cotton Material(Sprout Green, 80''x87'' 20lbs), Two Persons(90~160lb) Sharing Use on Queen/King Bed | A Duvet Included It has since come down in price apparently to $79, which to me is a steal. We've had it on our bed 95% of the time for the past 4.5 years. It it just as good as the day we bought it. We stopped bothering with the duvet because to be honest it's kind of annoying to put on (as all duvets are) and I don't mind the square seam pattern on the bed. We have machine washed and dried it roughly every 3 weeks over that time (4.5yrs). Fully support the 4.6 stars over 46k reviews rating. I'm not sure what would make me give it more... Maybe if the duvet were easier or the "naked" blanket was more visually appealing? As to fancier brands, I have no idea, this is just some no-name brand on Amazon and it's done great. Maybe an area where spending $300+ has marginal benefit over $150. I'd look at other responses here to see if people have bought multiple at different price levels. More on reddit.com

Hell yeah, there is! Get an all-season or winter weight silk insert/comforter and you'll absolutely never go back to another type of fill material. It's like a weighted blanket that keeps you comfortably warm in winter and cool in summer. It's amazing. Let me know if you want more info about silk inserts. Hi all. Trying to find a blanket/comforter for a Queen bed and general use. I sleep hot so something that's cooler would be ideal. Obviously minimal maintenance is ideal too. I am not trying to fuck with hand washing or anything similarly cumbersome.

Edit: Thanks for the input folks! After some further research going with one from Silk & Snow. Bearaby is too expensive, Nuzzie had some sketchy looking spam in some threads I found, and bead based options just seem like they're a pain / not really what I'm after. I'll add my thoughts on the S&S once I've used it for a bit.
