With the one note app recently becoming free on all platforms and the massive amounts of praise is been getting, I'm very eager to try it out. However to use the app requires an MS account (fair enough), but I'm struggling to figure out how to create a new account and get some functionality out of it (eg sending emails) without linking a phone number to it (for privacy reasons).

I've had this problem before with some of my old hotmail emails, but now it's also happening with my main email that I use for everything, everything, I can't lose this email and all the “solutions” are useless, the only thing that gave a different result resulted in this message appearing instead of the “too many requests”.
