yeah insta’s password reset process is kinda messy.. on mobile it sends that magic login link but doesn’t always let you *actually* reset the password. try using the mobile app directly (not browser), then go to settings > security > password once you’re in. if that doesn’t work, you might need to log in, then add a backup email or number first and request the reset again. if the account ever gets locked and recovery fails, i’ve seen people fix it through swapd, but hopefully it doesn’t get to that point.
